Koi - 6-12-2019 at 10:03 AM

Koi - 6-12-2019 at 04:10 PM

Koi inhaled deep as he left his room, the communal space of their dorm apartment smelling like what Koi imagined Southern heaven be like. The universe had done its fucking thing in making Enzo his suite mate...oh, and the same with White Jared...whose name wasn't even Jared, but Koi didn't give a fuck. The dude was never there and even though he wouldn't TELL Koi where he bought them, he ALWAYS put a couple of boxes of Twinkies in the pantry. Koi fucking loved Twinkies. Either way, Enzo was doing his damn thing at the stove and Koi was doing what he did best...waiting for the food to be finished.

"Are you seriously not done cooking yet? I was in the bathroom for thirty whole minutes." He muttered, a smile spreading across his face as he watched Enzo's back tense at his words, his eyes cutting at Koi from over his shoulder. Koi laughed as he plopped onto the sofa, his feet going up onto the coffee table.

"I'm kidding! Be easy..." His hands went up in mock surrender as he pulled out his phone out of his pocket, checking for a text from Devyn. Not that she was supposed to text him as Enzo had given Minna all the information they'd needed to get into the building and find their room. He guessed he was just excited. This "friendsgiving" shit (which Enzo refused to call it considering that "friend" wasn't the f-word he was trying to do when it came to Minna) was actually a good idea. Not that Koi had problems with it when Enzo dropped the idea of inviting Devyn and Minna over for a pre-Thanksgiving meal. Anything that gave him free food and a reason to invite Devyn over was good with him. But Koi could admit he was lowkey nervous. It would be the first time that he and Devyn would be really hanging since the game. They'd had a good time with Stacy and Salice at the game, but this was different. It would be he and Devyn hanging the way they use to...but not really. Not really the same.

"You about to cook all the food in the kitchen for Minna or..." Koi asked, his words met by the sound of Enzo sucking his teeth, his annoyance making Koi laugh again. Enzo had been on edge since he'd started cooking that morning. If he didn't know better, he'd say his boy was nervous. That or...he was thinking about his mom again. Koi felt that, which was why he'd been trying to get a laugh out of him. A reaction. Anything. Anything to get his mind off of his mom and her absence this Thanksgiving.

Enzo - 6-12-2019 at 04:58 PM

Enzo had barely left the kitchen since morning. Today was important to him and he wanted it to be right. Minna had agreed to come for their mini-Thanksgiving (he refused to call it "friendsgiving") and even though her bringing her homegirl was a little annoying, Enzo was willing to look past it to be in her presence. Besides, Koi had been hype about homegirl coming over since Enzo brought it up. Chet, or Brad, or whatever the fuck had bounced earlier in the week so the suite was theirs for the night. And it was going to be a good one.

Enzo's eyes rolled as Koi asked again if he was done yet. He was ignoring his gluttonous ass. For a skinny dude, Koi was a fucking garbage disposal. He ate everything and had a real sweet tooth. He'd known even without asking his roommate that hosting the mini-TG was going to be okay as long as Enzo said there was food. And of corse there was. This was his Super Bowl. Well...his and hers. That had been getting to him all day too. Enzo loved to cook, but having to hear "pour until the ancestors tell you to stop" in his head over and over as he seasoned things or put together her sweet potato souffle was...he missed her...it was also kind of funny because now she was an ancestor...

Shaking his head clear, Enzo put the top on the smothered chicken so it could simmer to finish and they would be ready. He'd kept the menu light, the smothered chicken, green beans, stuffing, of course that sweet potato souffle (he couldn't take doing a pie without her). Minna had hit him and told him Devyn had insisted on bringing a dish, so she'd claimed mac and cheese (he could only pray she hadn't fucked that up). Yeah...this was good. They were -

He heard Koi call to him from the living room again and he sucked his teeth. "Listen, did I bother you while you were getting pretty for homegirl or nah?" he chuckled then, wiping his hand on a kitchen towel and checking his watch. "I'm gonna change my shirt real quick-," they were both doing color today which was a welcome change of pace from the black, grey, and white they both had been on for the past month and a half. "Can you listen out for the-," he was cut off by a knock. Shit. Without words Enzo disappeared to his room for a quick change while Koi got the door.

Time to kick this shit off.

Minna - 6-12-2019 at 05:51 PM

"Dev, you're doing it again." Minna hissed between her teeth as they walked down Enzo and Koi's corridor. Minna didn't know how Devyn kept finding a way to fidget with her outfit and hair WHILE carrying the foil tray of baked mac and cheese. The mac and cheese that Minna'd gotten her hands popped with a wooden spoon earlier when she'd tried to sneak some, by the way. Somebody was nerrrrvouuuus... And it wasn't Minna! Even as Devyn insisted that she was "fine", Minna saw it for what it was. She'd changed outfits more times than Minna had (only twice, thank you very much) and she'd cycled between five shades of red lipstick to settle on the one she'd started with! Minna didn't get it. Devyn and Koi had known each other for YEARS and Devyn was the one who was nervous? This was Minna's second date with Enzo, for goddess' sake and she was barely breaking a sweat. She should've been a bundle of nerves, pulling at those couple of curls that her fingers couldn't take a break from whenever she was near him. Not the case though, one hand carrying the cute little handbag she'd found at Junkman's Daughter last week, the other holding a bottle of Grey Goose.

"You look gorgeous, okay?" She muttered, their steps slowing as they found room 418 in the very posh residence hall. She looked at Devyn meaningfully, her lips pursing as Devyn gave her hair one last push behind her shoulder...and then back over it. Rolling her eyes, she knocked on the door and watched it open almost as soon as she'd knocked.

Devyn - 6-12-2019 at 06:37 PM

Devyn sighed as Minna scolded her. She knew she was doing it again, but she couldn't help it! Devyn could admit that she was nervous about this little Friendsgiving Enzo had cooked up. Literally it seemed as he had done almost all of the cooking. Devyn wasn't raised to show up to show up to things empty handed so she'd made macaroni and cheese, something classic...and Koi's favorite.

"I'm fine, Minna-," she didn't know why she was getting first date vibes when she wasn't on a date PERIOD. Minna was though. Despite her and Koi being invited as buffer, this was definitely Minna's second date with Enzo. And the first one had gone so well! Minna said she'd had fun and he was charming and...gentlemanly...whatever the fuck she meant by that. Minna'd made a few other assumptions Devyn wasn't sure about but she guessed she'd get to know her muse's new boo tonight. That would give her something to focus on that wasn't Koi...not that she was as focused on him as Minna was making her out to be! Sure, she'd changed her outfit a few times, but so had Minna and the lipstick was hard to match just right with this skirt! And...okay...she would admit it.

"Thank you, sugar-," she smiled then taking a second to be honest. "I haven't...spending time with him like this is...it's a little weird..." she let her words trail off as they approached the door. 414. 416. "But I promise not to mess up your cute date with my brother-in-law with my bullshit." She giggled then, watching Minna give her the look she always gave when Dev teased her about Mr. Perfect. Minna told her she looked gorgeous and she smiled.

"Not as good as you. Enzo's gonna lose it." Minna ignored her and knocked and Devyn smiled, expecting Enzo. But it wasn't him. Dev watched as Koi greeted Minna first ushering her inside before turning toward Devyn. "You...you I've been waiting for all day-," Devyn rolled her eyes, the true object of his affection clear to her as he was always like this. She held the pan in front of her and he took it, muttering his sweet nothings as he walked away from the door toward the kitchen.

"Hello to you too, Koi. So happy to see you." Her tone was dry as she stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

Minna - 6-12-2019 at 07:02 PM

Minna laughed as she hopped out of the way just quick enough to not get mowed down by a mac and cheese totting Koi. Apparently, Koi really loved Devyn...'s mac and cheese. He'd moved Minna aside so fast to get to it, she'd barely had time to see him in light that was brighter than the dimly lit club she'd seen him in when they first met. He was definitely cute...and color looked better on him than the black both he and Enzo were sporting that night. Mentioning Ezno, where was he? She guessed he was somewhere in the apartment that doubled as a dorm suite (the hell were they paying for this place), so she made her way to the couch, Devyn sitting beside her, watching Koi as he body rolled his way to the kitchen, wafting the smell of the dish to his face.

"Dev...you out fucking did yourself again." He said, crossing the threshold from the kitchen to the living room space, his eyes finally processing Devyn and Mina for the first time.

"My bad. I was probably rude as fuck...blame Dev's mac and cheese. What's up, Muse?" Koi sat on the arm of the couch, closest to Devyn. And even though he was speaking to Minna, his eyes kept drifting to Devyn...which was completely understandable as half of her incredibly shapely thigh was on display. Minna'd made her settle on that skirt and they'd made a fantastic choice.

"Sup, Koi." Minna smiled as he barely registered her greeting, his eyes on Devyn as he nudged her.

"Sup, Hips." He smiled widely as Devyn rolled her eyes him, a return greeting and an equally wide smile on her lips. Hips? Okay...Minna could tell that they nickname carried a VERY interesting backstory as their eye contact lingered a little longer than she thought PLATONICALLY possible.

"So...where's your roommate, Koi?" Minna asked, placing the Grey Goose bottle and her purse on the coffee table. As if he'd planned it that way, what Minna assumed was Enzo's bedroom door opened, his tall frame stepping through the door, buttoning his shirt.

And...was her mouth open?

Enzo - 7-12-2019 at 04:34 AM

Enzo pulled off the t-shit he'd been cooking in and shrugged on his yellow button up. He'd almost forgotten what he looked like in non-neutral colors. This Kappa shit was killing him and it really hadn't even started yet...but he wasn't stressing about that shit today. Today, he was gonna be comfortable in his own damn apartment and he was gonna give Minna a Thanksgiving to change her mind about holidays...at least this holiday. They didn't get too far into why she didn't like holidays, but he had plans to figure that out and more today.

He could hear their voices in the other room as Koi greeted the girls and struck up conversation...although what he heard wasn't making too much sense. Was he telling Devyn he'd been waiting for her all day? Didn't matter. Not as Minna's melodic laugh cut through the rest of what became background noise. He smiled to himself. Tonight was going to be good. Good and drama free as he'd made Koi promise not to start no shit with his homegirl...which it sounded like he was starting calling homegirl by her body parts. Enzo sighed, his fingers focused on buttoning as he crossed his room and pulled open the door just as Minna asked about him.

"What's up, y'all? How you doing?" His eyes of course found Minna's first and he could feel his smile grow. She was beautiful - her natural state of being - and he had only registered her face so far. She stood as he approached her for a hug and...bless up. Enzo's arm went around her waist as he pulled her body into his, trying to put a filter on his thoughts.

"Minna. You look incredible, as always-," he pulled back reluctantly, not wanting to hold her for too long to save that curl she was always pulling on when he was around. He smiled at her as he gave her a little space before turning his attention to...homegirl. "Devyn. What's up?" As much as he wanted to say some slick shit about him being glad she could pull herself away from the jacket jacker long enough to join them, he didn't. No drama tonight.

"So-," he started, his hands clasping as he backed toward the kitchen, "I hope y'all came to eat. Koi shut up-," he chuckled knowing his roommate. "Whatever you want to say is not funny."

Minna - 7-12-2019 at 06:20 PM

Yep...it happened. It finally happened. Her overzealous heart had figured out the most inopportune time to find the quickest way to the pit of her ass...all because he looked like that tonight. She was instantly nervous, her eyes blinking quicker than she knew was normal. How the hell was yellow his color?! Yellow wasn’t anyone’s color but Beyonce...okay, that wasn’t necessarily true. But damn. He looked a little different outside of the black and gray he usually wore. She noticed a little more about him. Like, how sculpted he looked. No, seriously. He looked like someone marble-carved him. He didn’t look like that in white tees and sweatpants. Like, how his skin was so caramel it looked like...warmed toffee. Like...how he really...REALLY looked good in yellow. And..

“Ow! Shit!” Minna hissed quietly, swatting Devyn’s fingers from their vice grip on her thigh. Did she just pinch her?! What the fu- oh… Quickly, Minna stood to her feet, breaking out of her thoughts of Enzo and his wardrobe choices just long enough to realize that Enzo was...asking for a hug? Not like they hadn’t hugged before. They’d hugged after their date at Fellini’s. But it’d been more of a “side-hug-thingy”? This hug wasn’t going to be the same. She could tell in the way Enzo was looking at her, his eyes taking her in like he was...memorizing her. And the way his hand wrapped around her waist, pulling her to him. She knew she melted into him as her arms wrapped around his torso, her hands pressing against his...very firm back. She bit her lip, the side of her face pressed against his chest and...no. Nope. NOPE! She was NOT hugging him in front of Devyn and Koi with THOSE thoughts running through her head.

“Thank you.” She said softly, her hand pressing against his...very muscular chest as they pulled away from each other.

“And you look...yeah. Yellow’s definitely your color.” Dammit. Really MINNA? Clearing her throat, she smiled up at him, snatching her still lingering hand from his chest. She couldn’t get back to Devyn soon enough, Enzo’s attention focusing on her instead as he greeted her.

Devyn - 8-12-2019 at 04:24 AM

She could totally do this. As Koi danced his way to the kitchen and she and Minna found themselves seats in the living room, Devyn told herself she could totally do this. Koi was being...normal (and annoying as usual), and she could be too. She was going to get through this night with her friend, Koi, her muse, Minna, and her soon to be boyfriend, Enzo, with zero instance of her past popping up. Having Koi back in her life didn't mean that much had to change. College was still a fresh start and their drama could keep becoming a distant memory...tonight it would have to at least. She would not fuck this up for Minna.

Devyn snapped out of her thoughts as Koi called her name from the kitchen letting her know she'd outdone herself again. "Kid, I know you didn't stick a damn spoon in that pan before we eat. I just know you didn't-," it was more likely he had, sure he was only out of sight for a minute, but it never took Koi long. And as he ignored her question to apologize for not properly greeting them, he kind of confirmed that he had.

She shook her head as he greeted Minna properly, coming to rest on the arm of the couch closest to Devyn. His eyes trailed up her body and Devyn felt her face warm under his gaze, a smirk on her lips as he finally called her pet name. She rolled her eyes, a soft "Hey-," getting out before that look stopped her words. Drawing in her bottom lip, Dev tried to quell her smile. She unconsciously shifted closer to him, as their eyes locked and...Koi's weren't saying things that friends usually said to one another. Fuck. And he was looking good now that he'd added some of his usual style to his recently muted wardrobe? Red had always been his color. And hers...

She wasn't going to be able to do this. They had been here for less than 5 minutes and already Devyn was consciously telling herself to keep it together because...his fucking lips were calling to her. Luckily, Minna was able to pull her out of the trance Koi put her in, asking about Enzo. Before he could answer one of the bedroom doors in their massive (by comparison to the small room she and Minna shared) apartment opened and Enzo emerged, looking very nice in a yellow button up. Not that Minna needed it, but Devyn approved! And Minna did as well, her mouth open a bit as she stared at him. Stuck.

Devyn couldn't help the short giggle that left her as Minna watch him come over for a hug...and that was all she did. Watch. Dev pinched her out of her daze and she stood, her body melting into his as he complimented her. Two more points for Enzo. Devyn had liked them together after hearing about the date, but seeing them together was adorable! Minna's voice was all weak when she finally pulled away from him, her touch lingering. Yeahhhh...her friend liked this one. She could tell as she sat back down, her arm weaving into Devyn's and giving her a squeeze.

"Hey, Enzo. Good to officially meet you-," because they hadn't done that. Se7en had been...something else and she'd only heard about him since. She felt like they were going to be fast friends though.

Devyn tried not to look back at Koi as Enzo invited them to eat. She was not centering their shit tonight. Tonight, she was here for Minna and her new boo getting closer.

Koi - 8-12-2019 at 06:31 AM

_______________________________________________________

If Koi had a chance before he fell into a food coma, he was going to tell Enzo that Friendsgiving was a tradition now. The food had been amazing and the company wasn't too bad either, his arm going around the back of the couch where Devyn sat, his fingers tugging at a stray piece of her hair before she swatted his hand away, a playful scowl on her face before she turned back to the conversation she'd been having with Minna and Enzo. They were all kicking it. Shoes off, bellies full. Relaxing. The vibe was right. Especially between he and Devyn. He didn't know what to call it, but they'd been attached at the fucking hip all evening. They sat by each other at dinner, laughing and remember the good shit. And even though they were on some platonic shit, he couldn't help but feel that weightless feeling in his stomach when they touched. It didn't matter if she was slapping his hand away while he stole shit off of her plate...or if she was tugging at his curls, laughing at how long his hair was getting. He felt it. He missed it. He knew they were probably too comfortable with each other, but he didn't give a shit. He liked it...and maybe she did too.

"Enzo...nigga. Who the hell doesn't know about unbothered Omarion? Apryl? Fizz? Where the hell have you been? And this is why women don't like you..." Koi narrowed his eyes, shaking his head...and barely dodging one of the pillows from the couch. Enzo's eyes flitted to Minna nervously, almost as if he didn't mean to be that much of himself and the shit slipped out. Minna was too busy laughing to notice it, but Koi saw it...and he saw just how much Enzo dug her. Not that Enzo hadn't been interested in other females in the time they'd known each other. Hell, he'd brought a couple back to the dorm. But, Minna was different. Like, of course she was. Even Koi's eyes had lingered for a second (her entire top was sheer). But, there was something about how everything had to be perfect when it came to her. He'd asked Koi a million times about a movie choice before their first date. A MOVIE. It was simple. Just pick one. Really, Enzo really liked her...he smiled when she came around. Which was nice to see since Kappa had been collectively whooping both their asses. But the holiday was doing way more for Enzo...in the worst way.

"Minna, I don't know why you wastin' your time with this one. Lame ain't ya type, is it?" Another pillow flew through the air and this time, it made contact. Koi's face was coated in hilarious shock, his eyes rounded as his mouth fell open. And that time, everyone laughed.

"And on that note, I'm going to the kitchen to get some more mac and cheese...any takers?" Koi pointed around the room to see if anyone else might've been interested in being a total glutton with him.

"You don't have to ask me twice! Shit...that mac and cheese was on point." Minna spoke up, standing to her feet.

"That's what's up, Minna." Wrapping his arm over Minna's shoulder, they made their way to the kitchen, leaving Enzo and Devyn on the couch.

Enzo - 8-12-2019 at 08:50 AM

Enzo hadn't heard shit about Omarion since middle school. He had no idea what Minna, Koi, and homegirl were talking about but as far as he knew, Omarion still had an icebox where his fucking heart used to be...something about his baby momma and one of the other nameless dudes from B2K...who gave a shit? Plenty of people it seemed as they had been talking about it for the last half hour...but the night was still great. Dinner had been good. The vibe had been on point all night and he was touching her. The after dinner chill had Koi and his homegirl hugged up (like they had been all night low key) and he and Minna sitting real close. She'd tucked her feet when she sat initially, but Enzo had again asked her to relax. He suggested stretching out pulling her legs over his lap and she didn't protest. It was innocent, but closer than they had been on the first date. It was progress.

Progress Koi was trying to dead with his annoying ass jokes! Minna was laughing...albeit at his expense. He'd come to know how his boy was and honestly, they threw jabs at each other regularly. Koi was a funny dude. But women not liking him? In front of Minna?! Enzo beamed one of the throw pillows at him, but it went wide as he dodged. He wanted to tell Koi to go fuck himself but he couldn't. Besides what could he say? 'I got hos'? First off, he didn't. Secondly, he didn't want questions about the few chicks he'd spent a little time with since getting to KRU.

"Haha-," Enzo chuckled even though his tone conveyed how unamused he was. "You a regular John fuckin' Witherspoon, huh?" Koi tried him again, this time asking Minna directly if - nigga! This time the pillow he threw connected, landing in Devyn's lap as the group laughed. Koi excused himself after that for more food (what even?) and Enzo frowned a little as Minna joined him. A) He liked her being close to him but B) the two of them stepping out meant it was going to be he and homegirl alone for a minute. Ugh.

Look. She hadn't been a complete wash over the course of the night. She was a good conversationalist and the Kidd was obviously happy to have her here, but...Enzo knew who she was. The type of chick that would leave her friend alone at a frat party for a dude. That shit didn't sit well with him because it spoke to her character. That was why he'd been cordial all night with her and at least spoken when spoken to...he didn't want that now though. He knew if he talked too long to Minna's roommate, he was going to hurt her feelings.

His eyes drifted to the 50" Koi had bought for the suite to check the score of the game. Homegirl had decreed no TV during dinner (which was a rule his mom had had too). How she thought she ran shit in here was beyond him, but he'd complied and honestly, hadn't thought much about it what with Minna holding his attention...Mostly. As soon as they hit the couch he'd turned it on and muted it. He could do two things at once and he had been totally tuned in when it was the group. Now? He welcomed the distraction...Although homegirl wasn't taking his antisocial hints.

"Hey, I never thanked you for looking out for Minna that night at Se7en-," she started. Enzo looked up lazily as she continued. "I'm glad she ran into you...she is too." She smiled like she was telling him a secret and honestly, he appreciated it. She was telling him Minna liked him, and usually confirmation from a friend was good news...but this friend?

"Yeah. Somebody had to look out for her." He turned back to the TV then, feeling her eyes staring at him without looking her way.

"Excuse you?" Oh. She was dropping that phony shit now? She was done playing nice? Enzo shrugged, his eyes never looking from the TV as he elaborated.

"I said, somebody had to look out for her," he turned to her then, wanting to be clear about his beef as he looked her in her face. "Her friend wasn't. You left her at a frat party by herself." Enzo watched her face change from confusion to annoyance like he gave a fuck. She opened her mouth to say something else, but Minna and Koi reappeared and Enzo's attention easily shifted, his smile returning.

Minna - 8-12-2019 at 04:20 PM

"Word? You know that bodega!?" Minna questioned Koi as they waited for their bowls of mac and cheese to finish warming in the microwave. The topic of discussion was the bodega that had been up the street from her aunt's building. The one she remembered from the years she'd stayed with her. It was the one with the little black and white cat named Malcolm? That was the one. How the fuck did Koi know that bodega? And why the hell was it up the block from where one of his aunts lived? The world was crazy small.

"Hell yeah. Use to get sour straws and shit from there whenever we visited...which wasn't too often. I don't even know how I remember that fuckin' cat." Koi laughed, the beep of the microwave cutting through their conversation as Koi checked the temperature on their food. He shook his head, putting another minute on the microwave and turned back to face Minna, a smirk on his lips. It was pretty weird how much she and Koi had in common. He dug Robyn (she didn't release her shit nearly as much as she should've). He liked old cars and Minna's first car had been a rusted out, shitty '84 Mustang, but she loved that car. And the bodega thing was just crazy, finding out that even though Koi was from Detroit, he spent a summer or two in the Bronx blocks away from where she lived. Not that she didn't think Koi was going to be cool people, but she hadn't paid him much attention outside of the fact that Devyn was still in love with his ass...which she made completely apparent by the way she kept finding reasons to touch him.

"That's fuckin' weird...but cool. Okay, I see you!" She said, hearing the microwave beep again. Koi pulled the bowls out again and handed her hers, both of them taking forkfuls before they even started making their way back to the living room.

"Good god..." Minna said, her words blending with Koi's "this shit though".

"Devyn did that..." She muttered in between chews, narrowing her eyes as she looked at Koi, whose focus was definitely on his bowl and not Minna.

"Speaking of Devyn...y'all are looking real comfortable out there." Koi's chew turned into a throat clear and a cough, a chest thump accompanying both. Oops.

"Uh...yeah...uh..." Koi stuttered, his eyes purposefully stuck on his bowl. Minna laughed, shaking her head at his shock. She didn't mean to catch Koi off guard! She was just stating the obvious.

"Whatever, Koi. It's none of my business." She admitted, taking another forkful as she waited for his reaction, hoping he'd open up a little about what all that flirting meant.

"Nah, it's cool. But if I talk to you about Dev, you gotta let me know what's going on with you and Enzo because I saw him rubbin' on them thighs." Koi bit his lip as he did a TOTAL over exaggeration of what was going on between her and Enzo! There was no rubbing of THIGHS. Her legs were on his and he kept his hands on her calves, no rubbing included. Totally innocent. Totally pure...per usual.

"Whatever Koi! Let's go nigga." She said over his mocking, stupidly girlish moans. Minna was quickly figuring out that he could be a WHOLE asshole when he was trying to be. They laughed as they walked out of the kitchen area, Minna sitting back in her place beside Enzo, her legs going back to his lap...his hand pulling them closer to him.

"Soooo, what did we miss?" Minna said, scooping up another forkful of mac and cheese.

Devyn - 8-12-2019 at 05:19 PM

How had shit gone south so quick?! A few SECONDS ago shit was sweet. Dinner had been bomb and Devyn has told Enzo so getting back a lackluster 'thank you'. Okay. Everybody had found their comfort zone with Minna's legs draped across Enzo's lap and Devyn...in a spot she had missed the last 7 or so months, right under Koi...Okay so maybe they had been a little flirtier than friends were supposed to be tonight, but she couldn't help herself! He was still Koi. Still the funny, charming, annoying kid she fell in love with. So yeah, she was finding reasons to touch him, but he was doing the same! It was just how they were and that was okay...wasn't it?

She might have talked about it with Enzo, but when she tried to thank him for taking care of Minna after she left with Tre' the night of Pretty Nasty, he had some shit to get off his chest. Oh? Somebody had to look out for her? Because Devyn was a shitty friend and left her behind?...That was half true. She couldn't hold him on that, she shouldn't have left Minna that night and she'd apologized TO MINNA about it and she wasn't mad so what the fuck was up with Enzo?!

Devyn tried to give him a chance to clean it up, but he doubled down, telling her what 'he said'. Oh, Devyn heard his ass and he was about to hear her. Minna was a big girl and she could hold her fucking own, like she had. He gave her a ride home, he didn't have to fight 50 niggas and save her life. He could miss her with the bullshit. AND he didn't know the whole story! Sitting over there on his fucking high horse, looking unbothered, but obviously he had something to say.

She opened her mouth to cuss him smooth out, but Minna and Koi came back and saved him. Devyn leaned back into her spot on the couch and tried to fix her face before Minna noticed. Enzo apparently turned it on and off, his whole face lighting up (fuck him for being an asshole and looking at her friend the way he did) as Minna sat next to him, retaking her position and asking what they missed.

"Not much-," Enzo replied easily, his tone completely opposite the way he had just talked to Devyn. Koi sat next to her and she barely moved. She was still staring at Enzo trying to figure out what the fuck his problem was.

"Yeah...we can finish what we were talking about later, Enzo." he shrugged then, a smirk on his lips as he locked eyes with her. He was fucking trying it. But Devyn had promised no bullshit tonight for Minna. She turned away from him, her eyes finding that damn football game as she tried to count to ten or some shit to keep from splitting his disrespectful ass head open. Koi noticed and nudged her, their eyes meeting and speaking silently.

"I'm good-," she wasn't. He could hear it and he sat his bowl on the coffee table before his arm went behind her, pulling her closer so that she rested against his chest. She sighed, feeling her anger break in just his small touch. He was still good at that. Calming her. Devyn's eyes floated to her friend and what was apparently NOT her friend. Enzo and Minna were in their own little world it seemed as Minna told him about some bodega cat, so Dev took the time to ask Koi if he knew what was up.

"What's with your roommate starting shit with me?" she whispered, almost mouthed, it to him so Minna wouldn't hear. No DRAMA tonight. Not by Devyn's hand.

Koi - 8-12-2019 at 06:08 PM

Koi was sure of two things when he sat back down in the living room, bowl in hand. The first thing? Minna was cool as hell. He got why Enzo liked her and they would actually be a fucking "thing" if he could get his shit together long enough to make a real move on her. Second thing? Something was wrong with Devyn. He could tell before he sat down beside her, her body tense as she sat, staring straight forward. She shook out of it long enough to fix her face, smiling at Minna as she sat beside Enzo. Koi sat down, noticing that when her eyes did settle on something else, they were looking RIGHT the fuck at Enzo. Koi exhaled softly, nudging Devyn.

I'm good... No she wasn't. He could tell by the look in her eyes that she wanted to spit actual fire. He'd seen that look enough to know what it meant. Devyn was furious. He hands were clenched. He mouth tight. Something had her on fifteen and Koi couldn't tell what it was...just that Enzo had something to do with it. Without hesitating, Koi put his bowl down and wrapped his arm around Devyn, pulling her into his chest.

"Starting shit..." He whispered, looking down at her. "What are you talking about, Dev?"

Koi didn't get it. The whole evening had been pretty relaxed. Everything had been completely chill. He hadn't seen one moment where Enzo had treated Devyn any differently than he'd treated anyone else...save for Minna as Koi doubted anyone could've been half in Enzo's lap the way she was. Sure, Enzo hadn't been especially talkative with Devyn and that was out of his character as he wasn't standoffish. But, something that would've set Devyn off like this? He hadn't seen anything that would've done that. But...

He was standoffish. He'd been a little stressed that day... Oh shit.

"Oh...yeah, so..." Koi started, angling his body so that his mouth was hidden.

"This is Enzo's first holiday without his mom. He was a little in his feelings earlier while he was cooking dinner. They use to do that together, I think? He's just...I know he misses her today. Maybe that's what's up?"

Enzo - 8-12-2019 at 06:51 PM

If Devyn wanted to argue they could. Enzo hadn't said shit to her that wasn't true. If repeating facts was getting her hot, maybe she should correct her behavior accordingly. She was wrong. Point blank. And Enzo didn't like her ass for it. Sue him. What she wasn't gonna do was beat his ass, so as far as he was concerned, she could die mad about it.

He smirked at her as she told him they would talk more later. Sure, okay. Enzo didn't have shit else to say though, so she would be talking to herself. Right now, he had far more interesting people to talk to. Like Minna.

"So what did we miss in the kitchen?" He tuned in to Minna's story about she and Koi sharing a block in New York where they knew some cat named Malcolm. It took him a minute to actually register that the "cat" named Malcolm was not a person, but an actual cat...he chuckled at her story and the way her eyes lit up when she told it. Minna hadn't talked a lot about her life before KR, but this bodega and this cat...they'd made her happy back then...and they were connecting her to a new friend now.

"Look, the magic of the holidays-," Enzo's hand absentmindedly rubbed up her leg as he leaned closer to her. "Wild far from home and you find somebody that knows your block...What'll you find out next?"

Minna - 8-12-2019 at 07:39 PM

"...and this cute ass white cat with black spots is just...sitting on the counter. Like he worked there! There was no one at the counter. Just the cat. And that was my welcome to the Bronx." Minna chuckled as she finished her origin story and guessed Enzo was still at least listening to her weirdo recollection of a Bodega cat and how, oddly, she and Koi had the cat AND the bodega in common. It was a weird story, but Enzo was totally engaged, laughing in the right places. That was refreshing. Not like people she dated didn't listen to her, but...there was something about the way Enzo listened. He wasn't just using his ears. Everything seemed so much deeper when he did it. The way he listened. The way he spoke. Even the pride he took in the meal he'd made them that night. And she could say that...she liked that about him. His intensity could be overwhelming, but it was new. And different. And...he was looking at her "like that" again. She bit at her lip, fighting the urge to attack her curls with the sudden arrival of fresh nerves.

Minna felt her eyes roll playfully as Enzo told her that her and Koi meeting was "magical" and that the holidays had ANYTHING to do with it. She was starting to see how the holidays didn't have to be such a bad thing. She'd got to spend time with Devyn, who was beginning to mean more to her than just a roommate in crazy short period of time. She'd found out a lot about Koi...and quietly made it her mission to get Koi and Devyn back together because could they be anymore perfect for each other? And then there was Enzo... She was glad she didn't turn down that invitation for a Thanksgiving meal because they were getting...closer. And yeah, it was a little scary, but he was sweet. And a fantastic cook. And... why was he getting closer? And why was his hand moving up her leg and making a beeline for her thigh?

"That..." She said, swinging her legs off of his lap so suddenly she almost clipped the coffee table with her foot.

"...is an excellent question. And I think...we should play a game." Reaching over Enzo, she snatched the remote for the (BIG FUCKING) television up, smiling in his face and turned the television off.

"Hear ye, fucking hear ye..." He proclamation began as she stood on her feet.

"I declare tonight 'game night'...even though this isn't my home and I'm probably being horribly rude. Let's play..." She started, looking around the living room.

"...21 Questions. You guys game?"

Devyn - 9-12-2019 at 03:01 AM

Koi pulled her even closer, leaning into her a little more to answer her question. She might have enjoyed the closeness...if what he was saying hadn't hit so hard. This is his first holiday without his mom. She heard it in his tone. Enzo's first holiday without his mom, the words, could mean anything. Maybe his parents recently separated, maybe she was deployed (lots of black people on the island were military), maybe she was locked up. All of that might have been sad, but the tone Koi'd used told Devyn the truth. Enzo's mom was gone.

She recognized the tone because he'd used it with her the few times they'd talked about her mom. There was pity in it, but not the kind that made you feel some kind of way. The kind that said Koi knew it was a sad situation that he couldn't understand, but he wanted to be gentle with you anyway...it said that he cared. About her when he used it with her and about Enzo as he told her something he probably shouldn't have.

Koi knew her. He knew what she was like and even she would admit when she got pissed, she got mean. He was telling her what Enzo was dealing with, yes so she didn't pop off the way he knew she wanted to, but...Koi also knew she knew what he was feeling. Maybe not specifically; she didn't know what Enzo's relationship with his mom had been like and parental bonds could be...complicated...but Devyn knew what it was like to lose your mother. Time had passed, but she lost her mom every single day, still.

"Oh...-," that's all she could muster as her arm snaked around his waist and she hugged him in that moment. Koi hugged her back, his lips kissing the top of her head as they shared a quiet moment of comfort. She needed it...because on top of thinking about her own mom, she felt bad for not knowing about Enzo's...everyone had their shit she guessed.

Minna brought them all back together, turning off the TV suddenly and calling for attention. Devyn smiled, as Minna declared tonight 'game night'. They were playing 21 Questions. Enzo answered first, the chuckle that accompanied his willingness it sounding different to Devyn now that she knew about his mom...he needed a good night.

"Ooh, yes please-," Devyn leaned off of Koi then, watching Minna's eyebrow raise as she noticed their closeness. 21 Questions sounded like a great way to get to know Enzo and even Minna, as they were fast friends that still didn't know much about each other. This would be fun!

Koi - 9-12-2019 at 10:01 AM

_______________________________________________________

"Yo, that is the weakest ass question...like ever. EVER." Koi complained as he leaned on Devyn's leg, her fingers twirling his curls absentmindedly. He rolled his eyes at Enzo...mostly to keep them from rolling up into his head from the magic that Devyn was doing with her hand. Now he got why Dhonny was always letting her play around in his hair. The eye roll, though? Definitely for the wack questions that were circulating around the leaving room. The game was "21 Questions", not "21 Minutes of Fucking Boredom" and initially, Koi'd though that Minna had a good idea going...until Enzo dropped the latest question of "What's everybody's favorite color" into the running and Koi felt his fun-o-meter drop to a negative seven.

"Okay, so...blue and some shit...BUT COME ON!" He whined, Enzo sucking his teeth again as Minna and Devyn fussed at Koi, their voices blending as they reprimanded him for his words, their cries of "whole asshole" and "don't do Enzo like that" made Koi groan loudly. Okay, so maybe they were only on question three, but really? Favorite color? They'd talked about where they were from (which almost everyone knew anyway), childhood pets and memories...oh and Koi's favorite, their favorite grade school teacher. No. NO! They weren't going out like that. Either it got more interesting or they were playing "Strip Uno". Point blank, period.

"Well, mine's purple and it's my turn to ask the question so...shut up, Koi." Minna tapped her lips, her legs mysteriously had found their way back to Enzo's lap. Deyvn (red) and Enzo (yellow...duh) gave their favorite colors while Minna thought about the next question.

"Ooo! Everyone has to tell ONE THING about themselves that no one knows. I'll go last. Koi, you're first since you're so anxious to spice some shit up..." Minna said, tongue-popping as she rolled her neck.

"Whatever, Minna-girl. Don't come for me, boo unless I send for you." He rolled his neck like hers, mocking her playfully. He literally had no idea what that shit meant, but Devyn use to say it ALL the time Junior year in high school. Memories. Shit...what could he even say that NO one knew about him considering Devyn knew almost everything about him...and it was the same for him with her. This would be interesting.

"Uh...okay! So I was like eleven whole pounds when I was born. My mom couldn't walk the last month of her pregnancy because I was just...too fucking big." He admitted, shrugging at his unknown fact. And almost like they'd planned it, Minna, Enzo and Devyn all boo'ed him.

"Oh fucking whatever, like your shit is going to be MORE interesting."

Enzo - 9-12-2019 at 11:18 AM

Okay, so yes. His question was weak, but he was never good at games like this. 21 Questions, Never Have I Ever. On the fly question games weren't really his steeze. He didn't think well on the spot...as evidenced by the favorite color question. Most were willing to let it fly, but not Koi. Never. The Kidd always had something slick to say and no question had gone by without his disapproval. Enzo didn't have to stick up for himself though, Minna and even her little friend coming to his defense. "Thank y'all. He so fucking rude-," Enzo laughed as Minna settled the group announcing it was her turn.

They all waited while she thought of what she wanted to ask and her far more interesting question came much quicker than Enzo's lame one. Wasn't much Minna wasn't good at, huh? ONE THING about themselves that no one knows...Shit. See this was what he was talking about! He was not good on the spot. Even in a room full of new people, he wasn't sure what would be interesting enough to bring up. And it had to be relatively interesting since he was working with the world's shittiest wingman over there.

Luckily, he had a little time to think. Koi was going first since he had so much to say...Hmmm...What would Enzo's secret be? He could offer the obvious and talk about his mom, but it seemed shitty to pull her out like a party trick. And Koi already knew. He could go with the fact that he was already being scouted for NFL workouts, but that seemed braggy and at this point the shits didn't really matter since he wasn't going to be eligible for a while anyway...hmmm.

Koi finally came out with his fun fact. He was a big baby. There was a pause and without planning the three of them booed simultaneously, their boos turning to laughter as Koi rolled his eyes again. Ha! Sucked getting it didn't it. "Fucking lameeeee-," Enzo's voice cut through the boos and the laughter so that he could go next. He had something.

"Iight, so look. My Sophomore and Junior year I was a youth pastor at my church-," Koi started to cut in and Enzo gave him a look. "Hey, I didn't cut your weak shit off. Let me finish." He rolled his eyes at his friend and continued, "So...youth pastor and I was at church a little later than usual one night because I was helping with some choir shit too. Long story wild short, the actual pastor was David Wilson-ing the choir director and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The pastor wanted to keep me quiet soooooo...I have a $5,000 scholarship from the church even though I'm not paying for this school shit anyway." Enzo paused waiting for reaction from the group.

"The extortion was accidental! I didn't ask for the money, but I ain't no fucking dumbass...He said he would give it to me so..."

Minna - 9-12-2019 at 12:36 PM

The game was on point, regardless what anyone, including Koi, thought. They were learning so much about each other and the only person who had a problem with it was KOI'S ass. But Minna had something that ass, her fantastic question coming out of nowhere. Seriously, she didn't know what made her think of that considering that she had a COUPLE of things that no one knew about her that she wasn't quite willing to open up about. But for the sake of the game, she'd drop at least one fact, especially since it was HER question. AND because Koi had come with that weak ass story about him being a "heavy baby". And they were shit at this game? Right.

"Oh wow, Koi. Seriously?" Lame attempt. VERY lame. And to think, he was the main one complaining.

"NEXT..." Minna said, waving Koi off as Enzo started talking, telling everyone that he'd been...wait what? A youth pastor? If he hadn't kept talking, it was so obvious that everyone would have had comments. Because Enzo was a youth pastor? Not that she didn't think that he could've been. He was a complete gentleman (save for the recent foray up her thigh) and he seemed to be...wholesome. But knowing that he was a youth pastor at one point in his life took her thoughts about Enzo to another place. She didn't think much about all things "religion" and to be real honest, she was necessary that stuck on believing in a higher power so wholly that you couldn't live your life for fear of making Him angry. There was just something about knowing that he'd had that type of position and connection with something that was bigger than him.

"Holy. Crap...literally." Minna laughed, the surprise completely evident on her face. Not only had he been a youth pastor, but he was getting "guilt" money from a church as well? This was TOO good. Minna looked around at everyone's faces and the way theirs mimicked her expression.

"Oh wow, please tell me you don't still work there..." She laughed, pushing Enzo's shoulder. She couldn't keep the judgement out of her voice, but that was one thing she hated about religious organizations. The complete biased, double-speaking nature of it. All of the expectations that came from the pulpit and then they went and did the SAME things they condemned. Hypocrisy at its finest.

"I don't even know how I can follow that one up..." Minna laughed, preparing to tell her secret. She cleared her throat because she knew that even though it wasn't a former clergy position and a loose ass pastor, but it was kind of...surprising, she guessed?

"So, mine is...that I grew up on a commune and my parents were in a cult." She grimaced as felt herself going a little warm at the cheeks. She couldn't believe she even admitted it! As long as she'd been away from her "parents", she basically hadn't talked about it. And she hadn't planned on the shit either. Until now...

"That's one of the reasons I don't do holidays, Enzo. We never celebrated them. It was...weird, to say the least. I left the commune at..eleven, I think? I don't remember a lot, so..." She bit her lip as she waited for the group's reaction. She'd told the truth. Well, sort of. She'd told one little lie. That she didn't remember the commune. Because she did...whether she wanted to or not.

Devyn - 9-12-2019 at 04:46 PM

She was having fun even if Koi wasn't. Devyn smiled and offered the group her favorite color (red) as her fingers continued to lightly rake over Koi's scalp. He had moved to the floor after getting his third bowl of mac and cheese (wtf?), but he hadn't stopped touching her. His arm was wrapped around her leg, fingers absentmindedly tracing up and down her calf and they were...content...well Devyn was. Koi hadn't stopped complaining about the game questions since they started. He needed to chill; they were obviously soft-balling to get comfortable. A spicy question was bound to pop up if they just...there it was.

Minna came in with something a little more interesting as she asked for one thing no one knew about them. Well that was easy...and not, all at the same time. There was plenty no one in that room knew about her. Koi included. Now was she going to share any of that? Absolutely not. Knowing more about Devyn than she advertised was a health hazard and she wasn't willing to put her friends in that position. She never had been. Not with Miyu and Dhonny and not with Enzo and Minna. Certainly not with Koi...she would need to think of something though...

Well not immediately as Koi started with his weak fact. And Devyn already knew that he was low key born a toddler so he lost twice. The group booed him before Enzo took the floor and told a wild story about his pastor and choir director and, "Oh. My. God-," If Koi hadn't have been holding her leg, Devyn would have been on the floor. She laughed as Enzo tried to make his story a little cleaner by saying the extortion wasn't his fault, but...HA! That was too much! None of them had secrets to top that one...well none that Devyn was going to share.

She giggled as Minna asked if he was still working with the church and he shook his head. "Nah. Not big on that church shit since...-," Enzo paused and Devyn eyed him curiously, the laspe short and simple seeming, but meaningful as he finished, "Shit's just different now." He looked away from the group then and Devyn knew he hadn't been to church since his mom died. That was the shit that was different.

She watched his face change again as he rejoined the group and listend to Minna tell then that she...what now? And her parents did, huh? Devyn felt her head tilt as her hand stopped moving through Koi's hair. "A commune?" She nodded, turning to Enzo as she elaborated. She didn't do holidays because her family didn't celebrate them. Huh...that was...different, she guessed. She had so many questions, but as Minna told them she didn't remember much she figured it best not to ask. Not with the group anyway. That was a drunk conversation for another time. With Koi and Enzo looking at her with the stuck face and not saying much, Devyn figured she needed to step in...but again, she didn't have a story to tell...so...

"I don't really have anything to tell-," she shrugged as Minna cut her eyes as her. "What?! Sorry. I can't think of anything." Devyn threw her hands up in mock surrender as Minna fired back.

"Nuh uh, bitch. I just told you I grew up in a cult. Enzo's been stealing money from the church. Koi's secret is irrelevant. You have to give us something or we're gonna start drinking up in here!" Uh oh.

She'd thought about it when Minna pulled out the bottle to bring, but Devyn had naively hoped it just wouldn't come up...Koi wasn't drinking. He hadn't for at least 6 months and Devyn knew Minna didn't know, but she wasn't sure about Enzo...and Koi wasn't speaking up about it...Fuck. Any other night she would have just taken the shot, but...she hadn't been with Sober Koi enough to know how to navigate...this. She just...she was just going to play it cool.

"Mm. I don't know Minna...drinking might have me making bad decisions-," Devyn giggled then, placing her leg over Koi's shoulder playfully. What she was saying was partially true. She wasn't even drunk and making a bad decision had crossed her mind plenty...but mostly, she didn't want to make it weird for Koi. She would sit this out with him if it helped.

Koi - 10-12-2019 at 11:15 AM

Maybe wishing for the game to get more interesting was overreaching because three answers in and Koi was almost on the damn floor. The surprise of it all. In less than one minute, Koi’d found out that Enzo’s preachin’ ass swindled a whole pastor out of some scholarship money and Minna was a “Children of the Corn” participant (that explained the blonde hair). What in the “surprise, bitch” hell? Theshock had not BEGUN to melt off of his face when he realized that it was Devyn’s turn and he couldn’t help wondering what she would say? Maybe she’d talk about her life before KR a little? Koi could admit that he didn’t know much about it besides the fact that she was from Atlanta and that some of her family was still there...he guessed? There were no details, though. Where’d she go to school when she was there? Who were her friends? Did she still talk to them now that she was in KR? When Koi started to think about what he didn’t know versus what he did know, shit got kind of uncomfortable. Maybe because he knew he didn’t ask as many questions as he should’ve about her? He’d always assumed that all she wanted him to know about her was in KR. Her cousin Carter, her Aunt Athena. The life that she lived...here. But that wasn’t all of her...and that was becoming a lot clearer as he watched her shift in her seat, claiming that she didn’t have much to share.

Minna got at her before Koi could open his mouth to comment, telling her that they’d all given answers (his was still shitty, apparently...whatever) and that she needed to give an answer...or…

You have to give us something or we're gonna start drinking up in here!

Koi felt Devyn’s eyes on him for a second, Minna and Enzo laughing as they debated bringing liquor into the equation...complete unaware of the fact that he’d gone quiet. He knew what Devyn was thinking. Koi was an addict. Koi was abstaining from liquor. What the hell should she do? Koi’s answer was simple. Absolutely nothing. Just like he was going to. The last six months post rehab had been rough, he couldn’t lie. Especially starting college where there was way too many temptations in one place. Pledging was going to be a-whole-nother situation. But he’d worked hard to do the “right” thing. Stay sober. Stay clean. And he could do that now.

He squeezed her leg, a silent “I'm good, babe” passing between them as she commented, talking about how alcohol would complicate the evening. The thing Koi wasn’t expecting? Her bare thigh swinging over his shoulder...and doing the first thing that came to his mind.

“KOI!” Devyn yelped, standing to her feet as he looked at her and shrugged, his hand frozen where it had been before...even in the absence of the inside of Devyn’s thigh.

“Look…” He laughed, Minna and Enzo erupting in laughter as well. “...you already knew when you did it, babe.” That got him a playful, but painful smack on the back of his head.

“And if y’all are drinking, I’m good. Actually...” He started, turning to Minna and Enzo.

“Fact about me...I’m actually sober...so…”

Enzo - 10-12-2019 at 01:17 PM

This was the excitement Koi was looking for, huh? Koi destroying his moms on the way out, Enzo the extortionist, and now, Minna was telling them she grew up on some "drink the kool aid" shit. They'd gone from 0 - 100 real quick. Which was what they'd wanted, he guessed. Since he met her he'd been trying to figure Minna out and even with a bombshell like this he knew there was still plenty he needed to know. Unsure of what to say, Enzo offered a reassuring squeeze just above her knee (they had reached a happy medium of where his hands should be), watching her face blush a bit after her confession. She explained that her commune upbringing hadn't included holidays, which is why she said she didn't do them when he asked. Enzo shrugged.

"It's all good, Minna. You do them now-," he winked at her then, getting a small smile from her. Shit, none of them were responsible for where they came from. Enzo couldn't hold no cult shit against her and honestly, even if he felt like he could, he probably wouldn't. This was a judgement free zone...mostly.

Enzo directed his attention to homegirl as she announced she didn't have anything to share. Aw, hell nah! Enzo's damn daddy didn't know about that church money shit. She was going to give them something. He opened his mouth to tell her so, but Minna beat him to it. See! This was that shit. Maybe it was because he already didn't like her, but homegirl had been annoying the fuck out of him all night. He peeped her cuddling up real close with Koi after their little disagreement and he knew her ass was over there snitching. And Koi was babying her ass like she hadn't probably hopped out Tre's lap to come over here...annoying.

That was the other thing. She and Koi had been at that touchy feely shit all night and it might have made him happy for his boy (because they seemed genuinely into each other), if he didn't know she was fucking their soon to be PM. She was stringing Koi along and even if the shit worked out in his favor with her, it wouldn't with Kappa if he started messing with Tre' White's girl. History or not. Again, annoying.

And now she wasn't trying to participate after getting something out of everyone else? Wild fucking annoying. Minna told her if she didn't spill she was going to sip. And Enzo endorsed her suggestion, pointing at Minna to emphasize her point and adding, "We love facts-," meaning Devyn could give one or she for sure for sure was taking the first shot of the night. Enzo watched her hesitate and then decline taking the drink suggesting that she might slip up and fuck Koi if she got drunk. Enzo couldn't help his eye roll as her teasing ass threw her leg over Koi's shoulder. He laughed though as Koi gave it back to her, his hand quickly going up her skirt.

Homegirl jumped up real quick as the three of them laughed at the exchange, Koi telling her she already knew what it was. She feigned offense, but it was clear as day Koi was probably fucking tonight, Tre' be dammed...that was none of Enzo's business though...And with Devyn up she could go get her shot because - what?

Koi wasn't done as he shared another fun fact about himself. He was sober? Since when? Because the Koi he knew back in the day was anything but...That said, thinking about it now, Enzo hadn't seen him drink since they started hanging. They'd done a few parties together and...huh. The nigga was sober. Enzo nodded.

"Respect-," Enzo sighed heavily then, picking up Minna's legs and resting them across the couch as he spoke, leaning over her a little. "Fuck it, I'll drink with you Minna." And with that he crossed the living room to the kitchen for the bottle she brought and a couple shot glasses.

"I'm gonna get some more of that sweet potato souffle-," homegirl announced, following him. Fuck he hoped this chick didn't want to talk about shit else with him...

Minna - 10-12-2019 at 05:49 PM

Sober? What was that even? Minna would never now as she swore by a sauvignon blanc in the daytime and vodka, straight at night. But she respected Koi for deciding that was the path he wanted to take. Although she wouldn't be making that decision anytime...and apparently nor would Enzo. She looked up at him as he left the couch, hovering over her as he told that he'd gladly drink with her. She bit her lip as she chuckled. The TRUE definition of a rider.

"THANK YOU, Enzo...no offense, Koi" She laughed again, watching him walk from the room to get the bottle of Grey Goose out of the fridge and sadly...only two shot glasses. That was okay. They'd carry the party if they had to. Not that she didn't' respect Koi. She knew it was hard as hell to make a decision and stand by it. She low-key respected him for it.

I'm gonna get some more of that sweet potato souffle..." Minna looked up as Devyn followed Enzo into the kitchen, her eyebrow arching. Considering that Devyn had just talked about how full she was, Minna couldn't help but wonder what she was up to as she sat back on the couch, her attention turning to Koi.

"Anyway. So, should I be prepared to go back to the dorm by myself or...?" She asked, the smirk Koi'd been wearing earlier immediately returning to his face.

"You got jokes, huh Minna?" He asked, chuckling as he turned fully towards her.

"You already know you ain't going back to the dorm tonight." He smiled wider, his petty about to be in FULL effect.

"You gotta keep my boy company..."

Devyn - 11-12-2019 at 08:14 AM

Devyn trailed behind Enzo to the kitchen. She'd announced that she wanted the sweet potato souffle, but that wasn't really on her mind. What she really wanted was a minute with Enzo. She wasn't sure what she wanted to say, but she knew she had to say something...It may have sounded morbid as fuck, but Devyn was glad they shared this...thing. She hadn't really talked to anyone about her mother's passing since it happened (other than the therapists Athena had tried unsuccessfully to get her into) because she didn't think anyone could understand. Sure, she let Koi prop her up through the hardest parts of it, because he at least gave a shit about her, but...he didn't know.

Koi didn't know what it felt like to have something great happen to you and to have your first thought be to tell someone who wasn't there anymore. He couldn't know how every time you were reminded of something you shared with her, it would always be a happy memory, but a sad moment because you were remembering alone. But Enzo knew. Enzo could understand her because they were part of the same fucked up club now.

She could sense the tension between them as Enzo quickly opened the fridge, focused on getting away from her, surely...Devyn leaned against the counter opposite him and sighed. She didn't want to fight...she just...she didn't actually know what she wanted, but since learning about Enzo's mom, she felt like she could see him. She wanted him to know that, she guessed. She knew she would have wanted that in the beginning. Maybe she was being a little selfish and hoping that he would see her too...

"The uh-," she paused, clearing her throat a bit before she tried again. "The holidays don't get easier..." Yikes. That's not what she should have said...it was true though. She shook her head a bit and he turned to her with the most confused look on his face. He started to say something, but Devyn cut in, explaining. "At least they haven't yet for me...without her."

She was sure it was some combination of the tears she felt brimming in her eyes and the way she'd said 'without her' at a whisper, but...he got it. She watched Enzo's face soften unlike it had at any point tonight. He leaned against the refrigerator door, closing it as his eyes stared into her rather than at her. "You...Koi said something to you?" Devyn nodded, her eyes unable to hold contact under his intensity. She found a spot on the linoleum of their kitchen floor as she spoke again.

"I think he just knew I would get it." She shrugged. "Today...holidays, in general are rough," she looked at him them. "They don't get easier, but they get different. You make new traditions with the other people in your life that love you and it's...you don't have to think so much about her not being here." Devyn had moved closer to him as she spoke. Her hand touched the one he had around the bottle of Grey Goose and she looked at him in the eye again.

"I'm sorry about your mom, Enzo." She was. She hated whatever took her from him had happened. "I got you if you ever want to...talk or...whatever." She stepped back then, her body resting against the counter again. He was still just looking at her. Still processing. Devyn offered a weak smile as she started out of the kitchen. But she wasn't done, turning back to him.

"And I'm sorry about Minna. It was a bitch move and I shouldn't have left her." he chuckled then and Devyn smiled. He nodded, his smile lingering and Devyn was sure that was the first time he had genuinely smiled at her all night. He didn't say anything, but his face told her they were good and Dev went back into the living room.

Enough with the sad intermission! Time to continue their game of 21 questions. It was her turn to ask and she knew just where they were taking this.

Koi - 11-12-2019 at 05:23 PM

__________________________________________________________

"I fucking said that I wanted tattoos and piercings, Minna. Where, how many, and show us!" Another refusal to answer and Minna was about to be three shots in...well five, if you count the ones she took just for the hell of it. She and Enzo had some unspoken imaginary shot battle waged between them and the way they were drowning them, neither wanted to lose. For the record, Enzo was in the lead by three shots...which for his musclebound ass was a clean two. And Koi had to admit, the shit was entertaining, even as he did it sober as hell. With that thought, he looked up at Devyn, who wasn't drinking either and had gone back to playing with his curls as soon as she'd come back from the kitchen with Enzo. He couldn't say that he was completely happy about her missing out for him, but he appreciated her. That was classic Devyn. Rolling for him when no one else would. Even though he knew that was one things that'd caused her blow up at her graduation party (after he STUPIDLY proposed), he'd missed that about her in their time away from each other. He missed having her there, no matter what. No matter what, he knew she'd have his back...no matter how fucking toxic having his back was. But that wasn't now and he didn't want to think about that...not when he was watching a slightly tipsy Minna pout about her next shot.

"This is "drunk bitch"-ism. Y'all ganging up on the drunk girl. FIRST OF ALL, I ain't gotta show you shit, Koi." She said, swinging her legs off off of Enzo's lap and getting up as she walked the short distance to Koi, her finger waving in his face.

"You just tryna see titties..." She purred, getting closer to Koi's face...not even realizing that she'd bent over in front of Enzo whose eyes were glued to her ass.

"I mean...if y'all showin' em...hell, I'm gone look!" Koi shrugged, laughing as Minna mushed his face, clumsily sitting on Enzo's lap as she returned to the couch. Enzo didn't look like he minded at all, his arm going around Minna's waist as he was probably whispering some old creep shit in her ear.

"FINE. While your ass is over there whispering, pour up her shot, Enzo. Dev...you next." Koi grumbled, rolling his eyes.

Enzo - 11-12-2019 at 06:46 PM

Sooooo...together he and Minna had taken 12, maybe 13 shots in the last 20 minutes and he was starting to feel them. Some were to avoid questions. Enzo was not telling them his guilty pleasure watch (Dance Moms back in the day before it was canceled) and he for sure didn't see it for telling them about his first time (he came quick as shit and it was terrible for all involved). One he'd taken in the kitchen on his own after talking to Devyn...Well, listening to her. She'd suffered a loss like his apparently. He definitely wanted to know more about that and he appreciated the open invitation to talk whenever...She wasn't all bad he guessed...but tonight he wasn't trying to think about that. He was gonna let the liquor take over and cut loose. New traditions right?

The other shots he'd taken with Minna who was down three questions at this point and it was about to be a fourth. She wasn't coming off the piercings or the tats, but Enzo would remember to thank Koi for the solid attempt. It was still panning out in Enzo's favor as she stood up, leaning over to tease Koi about "just wanting to see titties" (they had already mostly peeped Devyn's as she'd had to lift her shirt to show her back tat). Oh. So Minna had her nipples pierced? Enzo might have had some freak shit to say about that if she hadn't been bent over in his face. He wondered what would happen if he just reached out and...

Enzo and Devyn laughed as she mushed Koi's face and took a new seat on the couch. On Enzo's lap. He wasn't complaining either, his hand sliding across her stomach as he wrapped an arm around her waist pulling her into him so that his lips brushed her ear as he spoke, "He ain't the only one trying to see something-," the liquor was hitting and he was getting reckless. Enzo let his teeth catch her ear only to be inturrupted before he could work his way to her neck. Koi could shut the fuck up...but Minna pulled away from him a bit, shifting to reach the bottle and pour her own shot, a quick 'fuck you' to Koi on her lips. The room laughed as they settled and waited for Devyn to think of something.

"Oh! Got it. So I wanna know fantasies. What's your wildest sexual fantasy and have you done it yet?"

Minna - 11-12-2019 at 07:23 PM

The shit...had gone wild. Minna couldn't even blame anyone else for the "let's add liquor into the mix" because HER DUMB ASS had been the one to mention doing shots for unanswered questions, not knowing that there'd be hella questions that she just...couldn't answer. Especially not after shots and she was a crying drunk. She CLEAN skipped the virginity question (she'd just lost it at sixteen), the question about weird sexual kinks (she liked getting her...ahem...groceries ate) and a question about the worst/stupidest thing she did to hook up with someone (let him tat his nickname oh her inner thigh...luckily everyone called him "sweets"). Noooope to that shit. Those shots were worth it. But the tats and piercing question? That got a little deep. Not because she was ashamed of her piercings and her tats...they just had backstories that even drunk, she wasn't about to talk about in front Enzo. Okay, so maybe it was just the vodka coursing through her body. Maybe NOT! They had a vibe going and she wasn't about to fuck that up talking about her past. So, she was gonna take her shot...Koi be damned.

"Ugh, whatever Koi..." She said, sitting down on the couch...or what she thought was the couch. Oh shit. She bit her lip as she felt a firm hand slide over her stomach, pulling her in...and she realized. She'd sat on Enzo's lap. It was a good lap though and apparently it came with...OOP!

He ain't the only one trying to see something- Minna's breath hitched as Enzo's arm tightened around her, his teeth grazing her earlobe before his lips trailed down the side of her neck. She couldn't help it. She shivered, her hand finding his knee. THAT? She was not expecting. Not from Pastor Enzo...definitely not! And what the fuck was he trying to see when he couldn't even tell them his "after virginity" story! Wait...did that mean...was he still a virgin. Oh...oh no. Minna didn't do virgins. Well, she had once...and he still hated her. To this DAY! Another de-virgining was not on her books anytime soon. And as sexy...and filthy as Enzo was proving to be with a couple of shots in him, she just...couldn't go that route. But...she could have fun, right? Leaning backward after she poured her shot, she let her back press against his chest, her lips moving to his ear.

"Cute...but you're not ready, Enzo." She whispered smirking playfully as she took her shot.

...I wanna know fantasies. Oh god. Minna shot Devyn a meaningful "bitch" as she poured herself another shot...not because she wasn't going to tell her sexual fantasy...but because she WAS about to tell them! She hesitated to see if anyone would go first...they didn't.

"Well...I kinda...wanna go to a swingers club. And I don't mean to swing...even though I'm not opposed to it..." Pausing, she took her shot, placing the glass back on the table.

"...I'd wanna watch..." Her eyes cutting to Enzo as she looked over her shoulder, biting her lip as she smiled.

Devyn - 12-12-2019 at 04:32 AM

Koi was going off about Minna not wanting to show her body mods and Devyn couldn't stop laughing, her very near drunk friend telling him no in a multitude of ways. Understandable. Minna's body was covered in tattoos and she would probably be naked by the end of showing them everything. Something she swore Koi was trying to see. And he was. Enzo too, as Devyn noticed his eyes glazing over as Minna bent over in his face.

The two of them had been vibing all night, but after the liquor hit and the questions got a little riskier, they were getting a way closer. Minna was on Enzo's lap at this point and Devyn couldn't help the Young MA style "Oo Oh" that left her as she watched Enzo probably whisper some freak shit in Minna's ear. The game was getting wild. It had been doing something for her and Koi too, if she was being honest. They had had many a meaningful stare after telling a couple stories about one another. What's the stupidest thing you've done to get laid? That night he wanted to hotwire the carousel (and couldn't)? He was trying to fuck. Which she hadn't known until tonight because according to him they were "homies". Ugh. But he told the story real cute and she felt like it happened yesterday.

She then told the story of her situationship with somebody who wouldn't claim her despite her half living at his house. He had been cute about that too, calling himself stupid even though they both knew it was way more complicated than that...and he eventually came around. Ughhhh. She knew this would happen. Devyn knew before the night even started that she would get nostalgic about her time with Koi. She knew she would miss him and having him right here? Being as comfortable as they used to be with one another? Yeah. She was getting weaker by the second and if Minna decided to sleep it off here...Devyn wasn't sure if she and Koi would be sleeping at all tonight...

And she was honestly setting herself up, her next question to the group asking for sexual fantasies. Minna gave hers first. She liked to watch. Devyn giggled a little at the look Minna and Enzo shared as she arched her back on him to look back at his reaction. Ha! Devyn could tell Enzo was down for literally whatever Minna wanted to do, tonight especially. While those two made eyes at each other Devyn took the time to give her answer.

"We kind of match, Minna-," Devyn stretched across her section of couch then, her hands leaving Koi's hair as she propped herself up on her forearm. "I don't really want to watch, but I kinda like the rush of potentially being caught. I fuck in a lot of places I'm not supposed to-," she cut her eyes at Koi then. He was the reason she'd grown to like fucking in public. What could she say? Like she'd told Tre', she would fuck the right man anywhere...Koi was the right man.

"I will say-," she paused, rolling onto her stomach some so that her arms could snake around Koi's neck, her hands trailing slowly down his chest and over his abs as she finished. "You haven't lived until you've made love on a hotel suite balcony balanced just right over the ledge while he...mmm." She moaned a little as her words trailed off. Koi's eyes had narrowed and he'd turned to her, their lips mere inches apart. She could tell by his look they were both back in that hotel room on the night of the Kidd's Kids gala...and Devyn could feel it. The world they usually created for themselves starting to materialize around them.

Before she could think about it, she let her lips touch his softly, talking against them. "Come up here and sit with me-," her request was breathy. Maybe Minna would get the show she was looking for without having to go anywhere.

Koi - 15-12-2019 at 05:56 PM

If Koi'd known that the game getting more risque would bring up memories of he and Devyn's more colorful past...he would've done the shit sooner. The look Devyn had been giving him since the questions had gotten a lot less "Disney" had him stuck. Every story they got into from the past, every moment he remembered...he couldn't help the way his hands had gotten friendlier, his fingers tracing lines on the inside of Devyn's thigh. Every answer they gave came with a lot more touching, a lot more lingering stares. A lot more silent conversation. Like the look she'd given him as she talked about their situationship that had turned into a real relationship. The fact that he saw a spark in her eyes again. The same spark he'd seen when he'd talked about that time they'd hung out at the Carousel. The "remembering". Remembering how it felt when it was new, how the hurt had almost destroyed them, how the amazing sex had kept them coming back to each other, time after time. How it turned into love...and it still was. He saw it. Love...

...and hunger. Especially after the present question, Devyn's body getting closer to his, her arm falling around his neck...trailing down his chest, her fingers raking across his abs. He chuckled, trying to play off the shiver that her fingers STILL caused whenever they touched him. He bit back the soft groan he felt building up in his throat.

You haven't lived until... Say what? He couldn't help turning his head towards her as she spoke, leaning into her words...and her moan. His eyes narrowed as he turned completely towards her, not even able to play off what she did to him. He nearly bit his fucking lip off as she got close enough to kiss him. His thoughts went real fuzzy as she spoke, and he remembered...her sounds. Her body. Fuck, he missed her body. She always felt at home around him...especially after the gala. He'd lost himself in her that night...mostly because now that he could confess it...he fell in love with her that night.

Come up here and sit with me... Gladly... but not before he let his lips linger on hers, his eyes staring at her lips as he smiled against them.

"You're trying it..." He whispered softly, turning himself so that Minna and Enzo (who were honestly in their own fucking world) couldn't see the light peck he placed on her lips before he got up (fucking adjusted himself because it'd been TOO goddamn long...), took a seat on the couch next to her, her body draping itself across his lap. His fingers forgot themselves as they traced the curve of her lips.

"Well shit..." Minna said, her hand fanning at her face as she leaned back into Enzo again.

"It got a little hot in here for a second! SHIT!" She laughed, Enzo still in her ear. But this time, Minna looked like she was a little bit more into whatever he was saying, her lips curling into a smile as her fingertips caressed his chin.

"Okay Enzo! Moving on. So...since Devyn and Koi are apparently about the shits tonight, reminiscing and shit! I wanna know about everybody's last relationship. What happened? Why'd it end?"

Enzo - 15-12-2019 at 07:56 PM

Enzo didn't know how much more of this tease shit he could take. Minna was on him talking about how he wasn't ready and he didn't know if she knew it or not, but her drunk ass was not sitting still on his lap, her hips winding in real subtle circles against him. She was fucking trying it...And he wasn't mad at it at all. To be honest, Enzo had been doing his best to take this thing with Minna seriously. She'd sparked something in him that told him she was different and he wanted to see where that lead. So, he'd treated her a certain way. He was a certain person. Not that it wasn't who he was; it just wasn't who he was with everyone...That nigga was gone now.

After Minna arched back on him, her gaze cutting into him after telling the group she wanted to try some swinger shit so she could watch? Whew. Both of his hands had slipped to her hips and he was trying his damnedest not to put them anyplace inappropriate...What he really wanted to do was get her to the room where there wouldn't be so much between them; including all these damn clothes. It wasn't the mission when he'd invited her over, but with how Minna was acting, getting her on top of him was an absolute MUST now. And truly, what better way to ensure her love for holidays? Enzo was trying to leave her with nothing but good memories...

Speaking of which, Devyn seemed to be reliving yet another memory with Koi, her hands all over his body while Koi tried his hardest to keep a straight face. Enzo couldn't help the chuckle that left him. Not because of what Koi and Devyn had going on. He could already see where that was going, and his attention was on the fact that Minna could too. The look on her face said pure sex as she watched them, but Enzo's eyes couldn't leave her. His hands subtly rubbed up her thighs, pulling at that way too long ass shirt.

In all the moving she'd done since she started drinking, it had moved up from her ankles to her thighs and it just needed a little help finishing the journey. Enzo never minded being helpful and as he pulled at the fabric, Minna leaned back into him again, shifting in a way that allowed the shirt to gather at her waist. Well shit...She was hot? He could take care of that too.

"I can't promise it'll cool you down, but let me help you take your clothes off-," his lips were on her ear again and he wanted nothing more than to taste her skin in other places. He chuckled his eyes finally connected with hers. Minna smiled, fingers stroking his chin before she playfully blew him off again asking the next question. This question shit was played. Only thing Enzo wanted an answer to was when Minna was going to stop playing with him...

He could play too though, his hand slipping beneath her shirt, running over the skin of her stomach as his arm looped around her again. He would even answer the question.

"Melissa Henry. Junior year. We dated for a year and a half and then...I changed. Didn't treat her as well as I should've if we're being honest-," and he was. In fact, Enzo's eyes had been trained on Minna's as he answered so she could see he wasn't bullshitting. Not about his little answer to her question and not about what he said next.

"And if we're being honest honest-," his lips had finally found her neck and he kissed her there, the hand around her waist drifting further up the front of her shirt, "I'm done answering questions and playing games..."

Too done. He was real tipsy and getting real reckless. He wanted Minna to join him.

Minna - 15-12-2019 at 08:44 PM

Obviously, all the sex gods got together at once and decided that Minna should have a front seat to what-EVER the fuck was going on between Koi and Devyn as they eye-fucked each other Devyn's VERY detailed confession. Apparently, Koi ate the fucking box on a hotel balcony and they were about to replay the shit in the living room. Minna wasn't going to stop them. Watching was watching...it didn't matter if Minna was watching her roommate and her ex-boo! And it looked like the show was starting as Devyn whispered some shit to Koi...and got a kiss from her EX in return (like Minna didn't see that shit). Messy and sexy...Minna's favorite combination. She leaned back on Enzo's chest, ready for the show to absolutely go down and...

...and it seemed like Enzo wanted to start a show of his own, the hands that had been on resting on her hips were moving to her thighs...the hem of her dress moving with them. She twisted her hips a bit, letting the dress ride over her hips. She bit her lips as it gathered at her waist and...WHAT? Enzo wasn't necessarily in line to get her drawers that night. Seriously...no virgins. But what he was doing with his hands? He was about to get something. What that "something" was, Minna was still figuring out. She just-...she didn't want to ruin him. He was such a good person. Pure. Perfect. Fucking with someone like Minna? That probably wasn't going to help his road to Salvation...or whatever the hell. Because Minna...she wasn't perfect. She wore her scars...and she did shit she KNEW would give her more. She just...didn't want to hurt him. She...

...but let me help you take your clothes off... And THAT was why she was conflicted. Because that...could be arranged. Which is why she moved on with her question, getting an immediate answer...and feel up...from Enzo. He had a girlfriend junior year. They dated...he...changed? Minna couldn't help but tune in a little bit more when she heard that. Even with his hand touching the bare skin of her stomach (the involuntary arch in her back was NOT her fault), she couldn't help but wonder what he'd meant. Listening to him throughout the night, it seemed as if a lot had changed for him the past couple of years. But why? And why would that...

Shit... A soft moan escaped Minna as his words hit her at the same time that his lips touched the side of her neck. He was finished playing the game? Oh really? She hadn't guessed with the way that his hand was slowly snaking up her front, the tips of his fingers, playing at the underside of her breast. She couldn't fight her head rolling to the side, giving him more room to do...that. She moaned again, shivering as his kiss turned into another one...Enzo's hand cupping her chest now, his thumb hitting her piercing in JUST the right way that a tremor went through her, making her eyes close, her head rolling backwards onto his shoulder. What the hell was happening? Pre-liquor, Enzo had been a little touchy...but now? She was pretty sure he was trying to...fuck...

"Ya'll good over there...or...we stoppin' the game?" Koi's voice made Minna's eyes snap open, her body sliding off of Enzo's lap. Yep, Koi was a fucking day saver...at least for the time being. Because Minna was SURE Enzo wasn't finished. And honestly? Neither was she.

"No, we're good...go!" Minna said, pulling her dress around her hips again, silently trying to keep her heart from beating out of her chest and into her ass. Koi looked like he was going to make an excuse, but Minna stopped him with a firm "AHT AHT", waving him on.

"Well...my last relationship..." He hesitated, the hand that was resting on Devyn's stomach visibly tightened at her waist.

"...my last relationship was Dev. And...it took us a long time to get where we were. We went through a lot of shit together...until we couldn't anymore. I did something stupid..." He hesitated, Minna's eyes firmly on his now.

"...I used something that should've been amazing and special as a cheap way out. I proposed." He bit his lip, looking down at Devyn, almost as if he was asking her if he should continue. But, Minna's girl looked...well, she looked like she wanted to be any place BUT there.

"Long story short, I put her through a lot. Too much. And I lost her. Which was what I deserved... I know that now."

Devyn - 16-12-2019 at 04:22 AM

You're trying it...Devyn fought a smile, her lips still against his. She was. She was trying the fuck out of him, because she wanted to be sure he wanted this too...because Devyn had already decided. She was trying to relive Gala night with him. She hadn't thought far enough ahead to what that might mean for them in the long run, but she couldn't help feeling like that was a problem for "future-her". "Present-her" could only think about how many times she'd touched herself to thoughts of him and now she had the opportunity to have the real thing. She was taking it. Because she missed him. Physically. Emotionally. Devyn missed him and in that moment, she wanted him back.

So she invited him to sit with her, his lips quickly pecking hers before he moved to sit next to her. And even in that quick kiss Devyn knew she needed more, licking her lips desperate for the taste of him. She laid across him then, her head supported by the armrest of the couch as she looked up at him. One of his arms rested across her stomach, her fingers lazily drifting across his skin there. His other hand had cupped her face, his thumb tracing over her lips. Devyn parted them, his thumb falling into her mouth as she rounded her lips around it offering a playful suck. She was trying to put more than his fingers in her mouth and the look on Koi's face said he was two seconds away from snatching her up and...what was that?

Minna's moan brought her out of the trance Koi had her in and completely shifted his attention too. She and Enzo had gotten way more comfortable and Devyn let her mouth fall open as she watched her friend lose herself a little with Enzo's lips on her neck and his hand on her breast. Oh, they were LIT, lit. Devyn and Koi looked at one another and she giggled a little her eyes quietly asking what he thought they should do. They could stop them...or they could disappear to his room and each of them could get some much needed privacy...

Koi chose the former, quietly asking if they were good. Minna spoke, obviously startled, saying that they should continue the game; but Enzo gave him a look that said he was going to kill him as soon as he got the chance. Devyn laughed then, Koi catching his look and opening his mouth to try to fix it, but Minna wouldn't let him. He needed to answer. Wait, had they asked another question? Shit...what was the -

My last relationship was Dev...What? Devyn stiffened against him, a reassuring squeeze at her waist doing nothing to ease the tension in her. Why were they talking about this? In front of Minna and Enzo? She didn't know how they'd gotten here and if she'd been listening instead of lusting, she might have been able to stop it before they got...here. With Koi telling a very vague version of their demise. I did something stupid...Her breathing hitched as she wondered what he would say next. Prom night? The lack of communication after? Graduation? Fuck.

Devyn sighed, cringing as he talked about cheapening something that should have been special. She covered her face with her hands as he actually said the words. I proposed. Ughhhhhhh! Why were they talking about this?! Now?! When she finally pulled her hands away from her face, Koi was looking at her, his brows furrowed in worry. She shook her head at him, sighing as she sat up and created distance between them, her body sliding to the middle of the couch as her feet touched the floor. She wanted to run. She didn't want to do this with him now. She'd promised Minna a drama-free night...but then...

...I put her through a lot. Too much. And I lost her. Which was what I deserved... What he deserved? Devyn looked at him then, her confusion clear on her face as she felt the start of it. The old them. They'd never been able to talk for more than a few hours without a fight and now...no. She couldn't. She literally could not argue with him anymore. About anything. That was why they were broken up now. She didn't have the fight in her anymore...but that he thought...

"Really?" she asked it simply, knowing he had no idea what she meant. She wasn't exactly sure what it meant. Really, they were talking about this now? Really, he thought he just "put her through too much"? Really, it's what he deserved? She should clarify.

"Do you think I'm trying to punish you, Koi? Do you think I've been living through the most miserable seven months of my life because it's 'what you deserve'?" Her voice was calm, as if she were asking about the weather and not if he could truly understand what he'd done to her before their break up. She could tell it was the calm before a category 5 hurricane and she was scared shitless.

Koi - 16-12-2019 at 05:48 PM

Fuck vodka. "The worst possible decision" was Koi's drink of choice that night. Why the fuck did he need vodka? It was obvious he liked the taste of his ex laying across his lap, his thumb between her full lips. His eyes narrowed at her obvious invitation to replace his thumb with something bigger. And he knew it! He definitely knew. This is a mistake, Koi. He heard himself think it...loud and clear. But, the need for her grew beyond common sense. Especially because he missed her. His body missed her. It'd been pushing him closer to her from the second she'd walked through the door. Her mac and cheese hadn't been the only thing he'd been thinking about all day. Her thighs, her skin against his...her lips. Both sets. Not that he'd thought they'd end up here. But they always did, didn't they? Wrapped up in each other. Communicating without saying words. And if she kept giving him the look she was giving him now? It was obvious what was coming next. Her...and then him. His jaw clenched as his eyes roamed down her body, his hand gripping the hips he loved so fucking much...

Until a quiet moan broke his focus, his head snapping up, quickly realizing that that moan was from Minna...and Enzo was causing it. That was his MUTHAFUCKIN' BOY...and if he'd through Minna would've decided to slide off his nigga's lap instead of moving that moan to Enzo's bedroom, he wouldn't have said shit. But he did, the game starting up again with the worst fucking question...and Enzo's death stare. Also known as the two things that told Koi he should've kept his mouth closed. Because at the mention of past relationships, he felt Devyn's body tense at his touch. And just like that...he knew whatever they were about to start (whether they should or shouldn't have) wasn't an option anymore. The moment had come and gone...especially after he'd started talking about them. About how he and Devyn had ended. How he'd caused it. And how he deserved to lose her. Which was true. He did. He hadn't taken care of her. He refused to talk to her when that was all she wanted from him. And to make shit worse, he used a proposal to avoid the one thing he shouldn't have. Her.

Really? Koi's head turned to Devyn, her body rigid. She was sitting upright, her arms crossed over her chest. Lips tight. Staring knives into him. Fuck.

"Dev..." He started, falling quiet again as she fired off questions at him. Did he think she was trying to punish him? Did he think that her suffering for the last seven months was because HE deserved it? His eyes narrowed in confusion as she rolled her eyes at him and stood to her feet, moving to the door before he'd gotten the chance to even understand her questions. OF COURSE he didn't think she...what the fuck?

"Dev, hold up. Don't leave." He watched her grab her things a she ignored him. Her focus was still on the door. And his focus was on her...because he couldn't shake this moment. The feeling he got whenever this happened. Them not talking. Pissing each other off. Screaming at each other instead of fucking listening.

"Devyn. Could you fuckin' hold on for a second?" He stood up, walking towards her as she opened his door. His hand met the door, closing it as she turned on him. His hands went up immediately, careful not to touch her as she looked up at him.

"Can we talk? Please...?"

Devyn - 16-12-2019 at 06:32 PM

She didn't remember standing, but she was up. Finding her shoes first, then her jacket, then her bag, she made moves to the door. She could feel it building. The fucked up shit they always got into when they'd let something fester too long. She knew what came next and she wasn't staying for it.

The arguing.
The screaming.
The fight.

She wasn't a fighter anymore. Not with him. Not after she'd realized after months of unending silence that she was only fighting with herself. She was so fucking stupid. She'd come here and let him get close to her again and made herself believe that the good of who they were might outweigh the shit of what was between them. She was wrong. Because here it was and...she was out. She felt her chest tighten as she pulled at the front door so close to freedom, only to have him close it, her name leaving his lips again as he told her to hold on.

"No." She whispered it, her voice weak from what felt like an oncoming panic attack. She'd had a few since graduation and now was truly not the time. She didn't want this. She didn't want to...she couldn't...Can we talk? Please...? FUCK.

Devyn closed her eyes, her back pressing against the door as she tried to get space and even out her breathing. She didn't answer him immediately as she focused on breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth, but she was going to. She just...

"Koi, I can't fight with you anymore-," her voice broke, her face wet already although she wasn't sure when she'd started crying. She took a deep breath and tried again. "Please let me go." She meant that in every sense of the word. She was stupid for trying this friend shit. She was stupid for being at his place right now. She was stupid for believing they would ever change...

He called her name again and she could hear the pity in it. She couldn't look at him and if his hands hadn't come to her face, she probably wouldn't have. His thumbs swiped at her tears the way hers had during their rehab visit. She felt the same tenderness in his touch as he promised her he didn't want to fight either. That he would listen. That he was sorry.

Devyn felt herself soften as his hands pulled her into an embrace and she surprised herself by hugging him back. Come talk to me.

Okay.

Minna - 16-12-2019 at 06:53 PM

If that night was weather, Minna would've categorized it as a type fucking five hurricane. The entire evening had had so many highs (the one she and Enzo had been on before the shit hit the fan) and lows (the present) that it shouldn't have been impossible to understand the current scene playing out in front of them. Koi basically spilling everything in so many words about he and Devyn's break up. Devyn nearly losing her shit over something that Koi'd said...although she could see how anything he'd said could've set her off. Minna and Enzo, sitting on the couch, watching the entire night go to shit. And if Minna had known what to do, she probably STILL wouldn't have been able to do it as the shock of it all had her so stuck.

"What the fuck...is happening?" She whispered at Enzo, talking through her clenched teeth. Okay, so maybe she KNEW what had happened. Her question. Her question had happened! But how was she supposed to know THIS would be the result? She saw it perfectly in her mind. Devyn and Koi would start reminiscing about how their relationship went wrong and they'd make up in Koi's bed...or on the couch. Minna was all about a happy ending. But THIS? This was the complete opposite of a happy ending. This was sheer pandemonium. Devyn was...fuck, was she crying???

"Shit..." Minna hissed, moving to get off the couch...until Enzo's hand caught the back of her dress, shaking his head at her as she sat back down. And that's when she saw it, Koi's arms going around Devyn. Devyn's arms going around him. He whispered something in her ear, her head nodding. Koi let her go, his hand wiping tears from her face again before his hand met her back, guiding her towards his room.

Koi nodded at Enzo as he entered his room behind Devyn. Enzo nodded back as Koi closed the door.

"Well! That went wonderfully..." Minna said, ruffling her curls. She sighed, her eyes searching the floor for her heels.

Enzo - 16-12-2019 at 07:38 PM

Well, this had gone to shit fast as fuck. Why Koi's dumb ass didn't pass on that question (or better yet leave he and Minna alone and take his ex to the room) was beyond him, but here they all were now. Koi, chasing Devyn to the door and he and Minna watching the whole shit play out. Minna whispered her confusion at him and Enzo, just shrugged. He didn't know what the fuck was happening either, he just knew it was...a lot. Damn...if this was what love was, Enzo didn't want it. He wondered quietly, what the fuck was between them that had her crying at the mere mention of just talking about it. Koi had already talked about PROPOSING which was wild in itself from what he had heard about Koi Kidd back in high school. Who knew what the two of them were really into...

And that was why when Minna stood up to interrupt, Enzo lazily pulled her back to the couch. Not that it was too difficult, she was worried now, but still drunk. She didn't need to put herself in...whatever this was. Koi was handling it. And that became obvious as Koi hugged Devyn and she hugged him back. Yeah. This was some "them" shit. And like they had been, he and Minna needed to hang back.

Enzo nodded at Koi as he escorted Devyn to his room, closing the door behind them. Enzo sighed deeply, leaning back into the couch. He hadn't realized he'd been holding his breath through that, the tension easing in him now that they were alone...oh shit. He and Minna were alone. Turning his head he looked over at her, her eyes still trained on Koi's door.

Well! That went wonderfully...she spoke, her hand running over her curls as she sat up a bit more, her eyes looking for...HA! Enzo couldn't help the chuckle he let out as he let her look for what he knew were her shoes. Minna thought her she was going across campus back to Frear? HA! He chuckled again, this time getting a reaction from her. What was so funny?

"You-," he said it simply a smile on his lips as their eyes met. "What you looking for, Minna?"

Minna - 16-12-2019 at 07:52 PM

After that shit show of a scene, the night was probably good and over. There was no way the evening was coming back from THAT mood killer...compliments of Minna. Looking for her shoes was the next stop on the...where the FUCK were they. They were gold boots. They shouldn't have been too hard to find. And yet, Minna nearly pitched forward on the couch trying to find them. Thankfully, she caught herself on the coffee table (better her hand than her head), her eyes looking more intently as she really...couldn't...remember where they were! By the door, maybe? Or...was she sitting on them? Or maybe she left them in the bathroom when she broke the seal...which was completely stupid as...wait. Was Enzo laughing?

"What's funny?" She asked, a chuckle escaping her as she rubbed at her face consciously. She checked her bra next as maybe a tit had popped out in the process of keeping her drunk ass from falling off the couch. No...so what the hell was it?

You...what you looking for, Minna? Enzo's smile spread as her head tilted to the side, confusion spreading across her face.

"My shoes...?" Why was that a question. Of course she was looking for her shoes. The night was obviously over and...she was going home?

Enzo - 16-12-2019 at 08:11 PM

My shoes? Was she sure? She answered him like it was a question and he chuckled again, the adorable look on her face echoing the confusion in her voice. Shit she was cute when she was drunk. She was great sober, but she had a childlike innocence to her when she was drunk. The party was over. Obviously she was going to leave...even though she'd almost kissed the coffee table with her forehead looking for her shoes...okay, sure.

"Baby, that don't even sound like it makes sense to you-," he laughed this time. "Why do you need your shoes, Minna?" His voice was gentle, like he was talking to a 4 year old.

"Your roommate is in there-," he pointed to Koi's door, "...where she's going to stay for the rest of the night, no matter how that shit goes." He looked at her again. "You live on the opposite side of campus, where campus security is waiting to find drunk freshmen to write up. And-" the most obvious, "you're that drunk freshman." He poked her arm playfully, another chuckle on his lips.

"You scared of what'll happen if you stay here with me?"

Minna - 17-12-2019 at 04:42 PM

The honesty of it all? Nothing really made sense to Minna at moment. Not with enough Grey Goose coursing through her body to make to make everything about this conversation with Enzo comical. As if on cue, a giggle escaped her, laughing right with Enzo...for absolutely no reason. His laughter? Probably at the absolutely hilarity of her going to her dorm room after she'd had enough vodka shots to make her just noticeably drunk enough to get a write-up from her jerk of a resident assistant...or worse. Kicked the fuck out of the dorm. And she couldn't have that. This was typical, wasn't it? Of course she was the drunk bitch that couldn't find her shoes and couldn't get back to her dorm room after a more than interesting evening that had ended (or not ended) with her in Enzo's lap and Devyn and Koi closed up in his bedroom. The uncomfortable wasn't stopping...and nor was Enzo's laughter.

"Oh, so this is funny to you?" She asked, grabbing the hand that poked her, her laugh joining his. She liked his laugh. The drunk one and the not so drunk one. Her smile widened as she bit her lip at his words, sucking her teeth at what he'd said to her. She was scared? Of what? Nothing about Enzo had her scared...nervous? Yes. Especially after how...close they'd gotten that day. Their date had been full of conversation, but this? They'd gone further than just talking. His hands on her body. Lips pressed against the skin of her neck. That was new...and exciting. And desirable.

"I'm not scared of you, Enzo..." She said quietly, her eyes closing as she leaned back, her hand playing with the collar of her shirt.

"...and I'm not scared of what's going to happen if I stay here. Actually..." She sat up, her body drawing closer to Enzo as she pulled her feet up on the couch.

"...what WOULD happen if I stayed here..with you? Hm?" She smirked, the hand playing with his collar moved to his chin, her fingers absentmindedly playing with his beard.

Enzo - 17-12-2019 at 05:55 PM

Enzo's smile widened as she sucked her teeth at his suggestion. Like what he was saying was ridiculous. Was she scared of what they might get into if she stayed? Probably. With the way she'd slid off his lap after Koi interrupted them earlier? She was into it, but she was trying to be good. Why, he didn't know, but there was no guarantee she could keep that up if she stayed...and Enzo was counting on it, low key.

Now, they had both been drinking, but Enzo never lost his right mind. If Minna wasn't down, he would absolutely offer her his bed and take the couch so they could both sleep the shit off. But as she told him she wasn't scared of him and her hand came to play with the collar of his shirt, Enzo kind of felt like that wasn't the case. His eyes followed a path from her fingers at his shirt to her face as he turned to her. Actually...Minna leaned further into him then, her question giving him visions of how he would like the night to end...

"I told you, I'm done with the questions." He smirked at her, her hand coming to play in his beard as her fingers stroked his chin. "You wanna know what's gonna happen, I gotta show you..." He took her hand then, pushing her sleeve up and turning her hand so that she could kiss the inside of her wrist. He leaned a little further into her then, his lips meeting her forearm, then the bend at her elbow. He rested her arm over his shoulder, pulling her to him, his face near enough to hers now that if she wanted to she could...

"Come over here..."

Minna - 17-12-2019 at 06:35 PM

Done with questions? But why? Especially since Minna had so many. Top of the list? Still "where the fuck are my boots?" But not because she wanted to put them on and leave. No, Enzo had pretty much argued his case. It was stupid to leave when she was as drunk as she was and even though "black out" didn't describe her current level of intoxication, she knew getting caught wasn't a great idea either. Win for Enzo. She was staying...especially as he started arguing a different side of his case. The side that had his lips touching her again, working their way up his arm as she giggled at the sensation his soft kisses caused up her arm, the aftermath a fluttering in the pit of her stomach. His closeness was...well, her heart could probably explain better than her mouth could. Minna swore if anyone else was in that room, they could've heard it beating loudly in her chest, speeding up as Enzo got closer. But...her fingers weren't itching to wrap around one of her curls, twisting it nervously because of him. She didn't pull away. Maybe it was the liquor dulling her thoughts, making her less concerned about...everything. Maybe it was Enzo's lips. But the only place her fingers went was to the back of Enzo's neck, pulling him slowly to her.

Come over here... She wanted to. She wanted to do everything that they'd been warming up to the entire day...but...Enzo Perfect Enzo. Enzo with a past that Minna didn't understand because she'd never known it. Religion. Parents that weren't fucking weirdos. A life that had purpose. A family. Normalcy. All of it. That was what she was afraid of. Not Enzo...but the shit he represented. And all of that perfect was wrapped up in the amazing body that she couldn't help but press against as his arm wrapped around her waist. Her fingers played with the hair at he nape of his neck, her lips lightly touching his as she stared at them. Why the hell was she lingering? Her other hand pulled her dress to her hips again...and she straddled him, lowering herself onto his lap. Her arms wrapped around his neck, pressing her chest against his...and she STILL couldn't. Still couldn't make the first move.

"Do it." She whispered, her eyes finally coming up to meet the intensity of his.

"Kiss me..."

Enzo - 18-12-2019 at 07:21 AM

As his hand snaked around her waist again, Enzo could feel her hesitation. Even in the way she'd giggled moments ago, in the way her fingers stroked the back of his neck now, he could feel her thinking too much and...she was hesitating. But why? Enzo would be the first to say he didn't really understand Minna yet. He didn't know her well enough. Sure, after tonight he'd learned a lot more and probably new more now than most of the people who'd recently met her (that cult shit threw him for a loop for real, for real), but he still didn't know her. And he guessed she was thinking the same. Maybe that was the hesitation? But Minna didn't seem the type.

Not that Enzo thought she was easy, just...adventurous. Their first date, after Queen and Slim, she'd pulled him into Knives Out on a whim and they caught the tail end of it before leaving. She was just...like that. Impulsive when she wanted to be. It was one of the things Enzo could pinpoint loving about her. He never knew what he was going to get when it came to Minna and she was full of surprises. Like now...one of her legs going across his waist so that she came to straddle his lap. Hesitation didn't appear to mean she was stopping it seemed...or...maybe so? She stopped again, her forehead resting against his waiting for...Do it.

She barely got the 'kiss me' out, before his lips were on hers, the arm around her waist tightening as his other hand cradled her face. Minna moaned a bit as his tongue slipped between her lips and Enzo felt himself shudder a groan leaving him as well. She tasted like he'd imagined. Hell, better. And as her hips rolled against him, he couldn't help but think about how she truly tasted. He'd know soon...

Minna - 18-12-2019 at 07:19 PM

Minna had barely spoken the command before Enzo followed through, his lips meeting hers without a second's hesitation, which was more that she could say she'd done. Because all she'd done is sit on a lap full of opportunity and let Enzo make the first move. She didn't regret it, his arm tightening at her waist, a soft groan escaping him. Another kiss followed the first that made it feel like her heart had faltered in her chest, her body pressing even closer to his. It was fucking delicious. The feeling of him between her thighs. And to think, she would've missed it if she'd listened to her hesitance instead of the liquor...ugh, she was so happy she'd listened to Grey Goose.

Another moan was on her lips as their tongues touched, sending a spark through her. Her kiss grew more urgent, her hands going to the front of Enzo's shirt, the yellow of it against his skin saying everything BUT slow down. She didn't want to anyway. She wanted to keep touching him, keep kissing him...keep unbuttoning his shirt. The latter was the most entertaining, her fingers sliding under the cloth of his shirt, feeling the warmth of his skin underneath her fingertips. She leaned back, breaking the kiss as she pushed his shirt off of his shoulders, his arms leaving her for a moment as he shrugged out of his shirt. And Minna knew that if there were angels, they fucking sang when his shirt slipped away from his skin.

He really was beautiful, even if it took five...seven...ten shots? Whatever. Even if it took a shitload of liquor to finally realize that fact. She didn't focus on it too long, her attention returning to his lips.

Enzo - 19-12-2019 at 03:56 PM

This was...ethereal. Enzo wasn't sure if it was the liquor or Minna intoxicating him more, but everything felt like it was moving in slow motion as they kissed. She moaned into his mouth and Enzo's hand at her waist slipped to her ass giving her a squeeze there. Fuck. He didn't think they'd be here when the night started. Hand to God, he was only trying to give her her first good holiday. Good food, good friends...and now another good f-word he hadn't planned for. Plan or not though, this shit was going down and Ezno couldn't be happier about it.

He fought a smile as her fingers brushed against his chest undoing the buttons on his shirt. Minna broke the kiss and if she hadn't been pushing against his shoulders, his lips would have followed hers without hesitation. He wasn't being as patient as he had been with her. Minna had him fiending and all he wanted to do was keep tasting her...but he complied, shrugging out of his shirt before his hands came to her waist again. Minna's lips returned to his, but it was his turn to pull back, a playful "Uh uh-," leaving him as he slowly pushed her shirt over her breasts. She pulled it the rest of the way off, tossing it carelessly to the side as Enzo just...

Fuck, she was gorgeous...He knew that. He always saw Minna as beautiful, but like this? On top of him? She was fucking stunning. So much so, he was transfixed and his drunk ass might have spent the night staring at how her skin seemed to glow in a way he'd never seen on a woman before...but Minna saved him, her fingers tilting his head up from her chest so that her lips could find his again. He chuckled as they kissed, his hands hooking under her thighs and he lifted her, shifting their position and putting Minna on her back on the couch.

Enzo's lips left hers, kissing her chin, her neck, and both her collarbones. His finger had caught her bra strap and he pulled at it, his mouth instantly at her nipple as his tongue flicked against her piercing. If he hadn't been hard before, hearing Minna moan in that moment would have done it for him...they probably needed to get out of the living room...

Minna - 28-12-2019 at 05:05 PM

A giggle bubbled from her throat before she could stop it, her laugh an answer to his denial of his lips. How dare he? Especially when the goose had her so damn anxious to taste him again, the liquor on his lips tasting completely different than it had in her shot glass. Her body arched into his hands on her, feeling traces of heat where his fingers had touched her. Her hips. Her back. Dear Goddess, her ass...the way he held her there making her his circle against him softly. His hands left her then, moving to her shirt, pushing it over her chest and then, over her head, freeing her of it as it had obviously been in his way the entire time.

Her lips curled into a soft smile as her shirt dropped to the floor, Enzo's eyes returning to her...and staying there. Like they were attached to her with invisible chords, she felt his gaze pulling at her. Pulling her past the "bitch, don't" and "so, we fucking virgins now?" that were trying to push through the alcohol in her system. Pulling her to kiss him again. To break his gaze on her chest (she really hoped he wasn't drooling) so she could touch his lips again. Lips that she didn't think she'd be obsessed with! But at the moment, she so was. They were the right kind of full, almost a little naughty in the way that they turned up at the corners as he stared full on at the breast she wasn't trying to hide from him. Her fingers touched his chin, pulling his gaze back to her eyes, their quiet laughter combining as their lips touched, twisting into each other again.

Her soft moan filled the spaces between the sounds of their lips meeting, their quickened breaths. And-

"Shit!" Minna hissed as she felt Enzo stand, her body still straddled across his waist as he...mmmm. The level of "turned on" pulsing inside of Minna went from a "this is cute" to a "pregnancy is an option tonight..." If there was one thing she couldn't deny, it was partner that wasn't intimidated by her. That knew that her body, her curves...everything about her deserved passion. Deserved...this. To be lifted off the fucking couch like she was the cloud bodied goddess she knew she was destined to be. She bit her lip as Enzo placed her onto the couch underneath him, his lips immediately going to her. Lips...chin...neck...collarbones...fuck... She felt her bra strap lower as her body writhed underneath him, her breast uncovered. And she watched him, his tongue going to her nipple, flicking over it before his mouth closed over it.

That...was fucking it. The moan that streamed from her lips as the sensation of his tongue on her piercing HAD to have carried through the apartment. But she didn't give a damn. Not one. Even if Devyn and Koi heard her. Because Enzo's tongue was magic...and as she pulled her bra the rest of the way around her waist, she wanted to see and FEEL every fucking trick it could do.

Enzo - 29-12-2019 at 10:36 AM

He loved her sounds. The way she giggled when he pulled away from her and again when she had to pull his attention back to her perfect lips. The way she breathed, gasping a bit when he touched her the right way. The way she moaned. Fuck, Enzo loved all of the ways she moaned. First, softly, the sounds of their lips meeting offering short staccato between them. Then deeply, her back hitting the couch as he laid her there, her legs locked behind him, holding his hips against hers. And finally, loudly.

Enzo's groan melted into a chuckle as Minna writhed beneath him, her moan filling the air around them, surely carrying to whatever argument Koi and Devyn were having. If they were still arguing. For all Enzo knew the two of them were like he and Minna now, locked in a world of their own making without any regard for what was happening around them. All Enzo really cared about now was getting Minna to make that sound again...maybe in a different location.

Enzo allowed his tongue to flick over her nipple once more, her back arching, before he continued his trail down her body, his tongue licking a line over her stomach, punctuating his path with a kiss here and there. "Minna-," he called her name, looking up at her. Her eyes were closed, her head tossed back in passion. He chuckled, his lips coming back to hers as his hand at her throat as his thumb turned her head to look at him. He wanted to say something smooth. Be charming or sexy or smooth. But, fuckkkkkkk. The way her eyes cut at him, barely slits as she licked her lips...fuck the talking.

Enzo's hands went around her then, lifting her from the couch. Minna's arms went around his neck and he was grateful for it, because balance was going to be tough. He was even more grateful when her lips came back to his, her tongue slipping into his mouth as their lips twisted together again. Enzo did his best, stumbling through the apartment, with Minna's lips against his; with her bare chest against his. Enzo wasn't wrong.

This was going to be a very good holiday for Minna.

Quintin - 9-7-2020 at 02:06 PM

___________________________

Quintin would admit he could be very Joanne the Scammer when he wanted. That meant a lot of things, but tonight he was "a messy bitch who lived for drama". When set finally ended (fuck those sadistic Kappas) and Q was able to move his legs again, Koi had been the one to offer him a hand off the floor. He said he appreciated what Q did for him and that sparked a conversation that lead Q to where he was now, shooting the shit with Koi and Enzo in the kitchen of their lavish ass dorm room.

Q had only been to The Village once. When he was smashing shorty from the swim team she'd invited him back to her room and to keep it a hundred, he was with her a week longer than he should have been because of her nice ass shower with the waterfall shower head. That was the topic of conversation for a little while which was how they'd ended up where they were now.

"...So speaking of girls we've smashed, what was Tre' on tonight? What's the deal with you being late last night behind a girl?" Was it too soon to dig into? Probably, but Q was interested and he had the source in front of him. AND if he was keeping it a stack, he felt like Koi at least owed the line that much. Specifics. They'd been doing a bunch of extra bullshit the last two days behind him being late and to hear it was all because he wanted to party with some girl...that was fucked. And he hadn't been flexing when he said it at set.

He wanted to hear it from Koi.

Koi - 12-7-2020 at 04:55 PM

As far as Koi was concerned, he would never fucking walk again. And he didn't get it near as bad as the line did...mostly because he'd been laying face down under Tre's fucking boot, his face pressing into the hardwood floor of the basketball court he'd have to call home for the next four years. Koi knew better. Everything about that night had been intentional. Tre' using the same court Koi played on to "discipline" him...and then calling him out in front of his line. It all sent a message that Koi heard loud and clear. Someone who'd seen Koi at Devyn's party had a real fucking loud ass mouth...and Tre' definitely knew that Koi and Devyn's past wasn't entirely platonic. Not that Koi had made any actual effort to explain their shit to someone it didn't concern. Just like at KPA, what was between Devyn and him was just that...between them. The fact that Tre' had Devyn's name in his mouth told Koi all he needed to know. Tre' knew...and he wasn't happy about it.

Which was why he, Quintin (who liked to be called Q, making him a Que who wanted to be a Kappa. Go figure...), and Enzo were in the kitchen, sitting on the floor with all the ice from the damn ice maker on their burning thighs. They should've been sleeping, but they knew it without saying it...they were too fucking wired. Even after Tre' had stormed out of the gym, butthurt because the line didn't vote Koi off, they'd stayed and gotten tortured for what seemed like hours. Shit, maybe it was. Because the sun was about to come up and that would mean another day of the bullshit. Especially as consequence for the line not giving into Tre's pouty baby, hissy fit was "breakfast duty". Which really just meant the line was responsible for bringing Big Brothers breakfast at the ass crack of dawn...and a reminder of the price that they paid for Koi...

Which of course put him in the opposite mood that he needed to be in to NOT roll his eyes at the conversation that he and his brothers were having as they sat on the floor. Apparently, Q had fucked a girl at the Village and that had been his only visit...which had been a weird ass segue to what the fuck was going on with Tre' tonight. Which was also a topic Koi wasn't interested in talking about as he shifted the plastic grocery bags that were keeping his thighs from screaming and running out of the room.

"I was late. That pretty much sums it up." Koi snapped, catching Enzo's side-eye out of the corner of his own. A side-eye which meant "this nigga put himself on the line for you...stop being an ass". Yeah, whatever. Koi sighed heavily, rolling his eyes again.

"So, I kind of...went to a party for my ex." Hearing it leave his mouth, it sounded trivial. Meaning, not worth the shit that the line paid because he'd decided to go. But it was Devyn. Devyn was always worth it. Even as he could literally feel the muscles in his legs pulse. Even as he felt both Q and Enzo's eyes on him.

"She...she kind of had a huge night. A really big fashion show...and I couldn't be there. So, I went to the party for like, two seconds..." And I'd do it the fuck again, because I'd do anything for her...

Enzo - 14-7-2020 at 11:00 AM

Enzo had never been so tired and so wired at the same time. He groaned, probably louder than he should've with Paul sleeping in the next room, as he sank to the floor and Koi tossed him a few bags to ice his shit. He, Koi, and Q had been in the same spot since they got back to the room, shooting the shit and finally really meeting one another. It was wild to Enzo that he could have spent five weeks with a dude that he didn't really know that well, but he had. Q was cool. He had a bit of a slick mouth, but he was funny with it and he had proven himself loyal tonight so...yeah. He wasn't on the list of brothers Enzo hoped would drop soon.

And despite the annoyed look Koi was giving him now, he was sure his roommate felt the same way. Q had asked a question that might have been a little out of pocket for a stranger, but definitely wasn't out of pocket for an LB who saved his ass from being scrapped after the stupid shit he pulled. If he'd have been able to move his leg, Enzo would have given Koi a nudge toward opening up to their new friend. He low key owed the kid that much. As he couldn't move much of anything on his body at this point, Enzo instead cut his eyes in a way that told Koi he needed to try his answer to Q's question again.

And he did, more information coming, although not the most...compelling response? He had to see his ex? The look on Q's face matched Enzo's surely. The "really, nigga" oozing from the both of them, wordlessly. Koi sighed again, giving a little more. It was a big night. Fashion show. I went for like, two seconds...

"Hold up-," Quintin broke in, wincing as he sat up a little straighter, an obvious realization hitting him. "Devyn Devereaux is your ex?!" Well how did he know that shit?

"Oh, you know Dev?" Enzo tried to be nonchalant with his question, but he was secretly hoping this didn't turn into no bullshit. Dev was already fucking Koi's PM, it would be way too much if she was talking to one of his LBs on top of that. They had this nigga chilling in their kitchen and shit and Enzo had ZERO energy to pull Koi off this nigga tonight if they got to fighting...

Koi - 13-8-2020 at 01:57 PM

Koi got it. No, he really did. It took awhile, but the way this fraternity shit went down was becoming more and more "regular" every day. There were levels to it, right? When they were with their line, letting niggas torture them with the stupidest shit, that level was called "Embarrass me in front of a shitload of strangers I'm supposed to call brothers one day." What he was doing with Enzo and Q in his kitchen with plastic grocery bags full of ice on their burning thighs? This level was called "bonding". According to Enzo, the price of that level was on some "quid pro quo" shit as Koi supposedly "owed" Q. Big. Well...maybe that wasn't too far from the truth. Q had put his entire neck out for Koi when he could've just let him get kicked off the line...something that a couple of their "brothers" weren't too upset to see happen. Q had his back without hesitation. And Koi knew, deep...DEEP down that he should've respected it. With the truth...

Which was why he was explaining to a nigga he'd just met officially a couple of weeks ago how he'd ditched his whole line for his ex. He was definitely oversharing for letters that weren't even his...yet.

Hold up...And here it was. The judgement. Koi really didn't need it because he didn't need anyone to tell him that letters and a line were more important than someone his line, including Q, didn't fucking know! Everything with Devyn went so much deeper than that. He'd meant what he told her in his bedroom on Friendsgiving night. She was everything. And Koi had made the mistake of treating her like she wasn't for far too long...which was why he was where he was now. Sitting in his kitchen, icing his fucking legs because he pissed off her new...Tre'.

"I know." He started speaking, reading to defend his decision to someone who he really didn't have to explain shit to until...until Q called Devyn's name. Her whole name. Q's face was confused, a little shocked...and certainly close enough to catch Koi's fist, which had begun balling up as he looked at Q out of the corner of his eye.

"Yeah...Devyn. You know her?" Koi didn't give a shit about the way Enzo's voice cut through the convo, trying to keep the casual air that Koi wasn't even trying to fake. Because after a night of his face being pressed into the fucking wood of the court HE PLAYED ON, he wasn't in the most friendly, understanding, "let's sort this out" mood. Especially if this nigga was yet ANOTHER trifling ass that Devyn had decided to give her time to.

"How?" Koi's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowed as he turned his head, his eyes unblinking as he waited for Q's answer.

Quintin - 13-8-2020 at 03:27 PM

Ha! The world was so small. Well, KRU was anyway. Of course Devyn Devereaux and Koi Kidd knew one another. And of course they used to date. Q never would have put the two of them together if it weren't for Koi saying something about it, but then again...he wasn't the most plugged into school gossip. He kept up with who was who, but he really ran his own race. Q figured the universe would put whoever he was meant to click with in his path...and look! He was making new friends with all the popular kids and not even trying!

And he mostly meant Devyn. Koi was a basketball prodigy and all, but Devyn Devereaux was like...an icon in the making. She had IT. Natural talent, moved real quiet, and did what the other girls weren't doing. She was a piece of work, in the best way. Qunitin's question came as Koi started to say something else. Then stopped. Koi wasn't expecting Q to know what was up. Which was obvious...as his words came much slower and his sentences got much shorter. Yeah..Devyn. You know her? Enzo chimed in too, his tone a lot more...relaxed than whatever Koi was doing as he asked if Q knew Devyn...What was Koi doing? They were all just talking right?

"Uh, yes. She's kind of a big deal. And of course the two of you used to date-," Q shook his head, a chuckle leaving him as he continued, "Two perfect looking people finding each other? Obviously." It made sense, really. Koi was the HNIC to Devyn's HBIC. Water found it's own level, right? They - How?

Kidd was tense! Quintin's smile faded as his eyes narrowed and he realized the vibe he was picking up was not at all friendly anymore. Enzo had a look that told Q to tread carefully, and Koi was quickly turning a shade of red that said he needed to say more and say less at the same damn time. "Oh...no-" Q looked between Koi and Enzo as he tried to get to the point quickly. "Devyn and I are cool, but we ain't cool like that." Did he really give off a I'll fuck your ex and laugh about it vibe? That wasn't it.

"We're in a few classes together and I did the promo shoots for her show...which nobody was doing by the way. All of her shit is...fucking art. She's brilliant-," Q was trying to cut the tension and it seemed to be working. Maybe he should throw in a joke?

"So what the hell was she doing dating you?"

Koi - 9-9-2020 at 06:15 PM

Yeah, so maybe Koi was coming on a bit...strong? Was that the word? Intimidating? He was getting warmer... Asshole-ish? Yeah, probably. Especially over someone that wasn't his...Devyn. She wasn't with him anymore. It shouldn't have mattered who Quinton was to her. All of that should've made perfect sense...to someone who wasn't Koi. Because lately, when it came to Devyn, absolutely nothing made sense. Not the feeling in his chest whenever someone said her name. Not the way he always felt like he was missing something even though he'd always "testicles, spectacles, wallet, watch" himself to death before he left the dorm. And not his anger any time another nigga said her name. Fuck. He'd even caught himself getting in his feelings that time he'd found out Enzo'd hung out with her and Minna without him.

Of course it was without him.

It was always without Koi now. Her life was moving in ways that he didn't even get because he was on the outside looking in. Even that moment at her aftershow part had felt odd. Like everyone in the room belonged there except for him. And he hated that shit... He hated the feeling that her life was going on, getting better and it was because it was without him. Sometimes, he wanted to take it back. He wanted to take back the moment they'd last hung out and he'd denied her...him. At the time, it seemed like a pretty fucking smart thing to do. He'd listened to Zori. He'd made the decision for the long game, not the short term. Whatever... That fucking decision had had him up close and personal with the basketball court he played on (he was never going to get the smell of floor shine out of his fucking nose) and Devyn farther away from him than she was before. And it was stupid as shit! Because now the only thing he wanted was her in his bed, playing with his curls the way she always did. Her little laugh tickling his ears the way it always did. Her voice telling him that everything would be okay...

Devyn and I are cool, but we ain't cool like that.

Of course they weren't. Koi was being an ass...and he was deep in feelings that weren't his to have anymore since he was without Devyn because of HIMSELF. Yeah, it was his fault. And whether Q was in a class with her or in her guts every night, that wasn't anyone's fault but his own...which made him feel even stupider as he felt the tension leave his jaw, his fists relaxing as...

So what the hell was she doing dating you?

"Hold the fuck up- excuse me?" Koi's face scrunched up at the disbelief of how fucking blunt Q's ass had been.

"She was dating me because these nuts, my nigga. What type of fucking question..." Koi spat as his lip curled up, grumbling to himself as he adjusted the bag on his right thigh.

"...and you can shut the fuck up too, Enzo."

Enzo - 27-10-2020 at 01:32 PM

Mannnnnn...Enzo had no patience for this shit. It was too early, he was running on exactly ZERO hours of sleep, and he did NOT have the energy to explain to Koi how it was not this nigga's fault if Dev gave him ass. He also knew he wouldn't have time to get it out before Koi was on top of this kid. Things just seemed to be taking a sharp left real fast and Enzo was just hoping that he wouldn't have to do anything about that because it was looking real 50/50 that he was going to try to help in any way, shape, or form.

And right now, Q was on his own. Enzo had tried to give him a look that said be careful, but he missed it, going on about how Dev was "kind of a big deal" (whatever the fuck that meant) and how obvious it should have been that she and Koi had a thing (Enzo guessed). In all honesty, it wasn't sounding too much like Q was anything more than a fan, which seemed strange, but Enzo could see that he guessed. Minna hyped Devyn up, but that was her homegirl. Maybe Q knew her work. He obviously knew about her show since he was so quick to put two and two together and figure out who Koi was with.

Whatever the case, he still had to answer Koi's not so friendly question of 'how' he knew Devyn. And Koi's 'how' was warning him not to be slow about making shit plain. Something seemed to click for Q because Enzo could see him reassess his situation before finally...Oh, no...Good. Praise God. Enzo wasn't going to have to watch these niggas scrap and Koi wouldn't be taking White Jared's spot in the rotation for kitchen clean up. He and Devyn were cool, but they weren't cool like that.

And Enzo was right. Q and Devyn shared a major. And a vision at one point, as Q had taken some pictures for her show. He was a fan...and a comedian. "HAAA-," Enzo yelled, not even able to catch himself before he enjoyed a hearty laugh at Koi's expense.

"This nigga Q said 'what was she doing with you?'-" Koi cut his eyes at Enzo telling him he could shut the fuck up. He was sure if Koi'd been able to move fast enough he would've caught a shot to the arm, but he couldn't so Enzo was going to keep laughing.

"Don't get mad at me because your light skinned ass was in your feelings just then-," he chuckled again settling and readjusting the ice on his thighs. "You wouldn't be so worried about Dev smashing other dudes if you'd stop running in her raw." An overshare for mixed company? Definitely. But true and honestly, Enzo still wasn't over how irresponsible that Christmas shit had been. Convincing Koi to get tested shouldn't have been as hard as it was either. Ugh. He had a dumbass for a friend...well a brother now, he guessed...Although if that was the case, Koi wasn't the dumbest of them.

Enzo sighed, "Well y'all. I'm trying to get at least two hours before this 8am-," Enzo shifted his ice pack to the floor, getting his mind right to stand. "The two of you seem like you need to get the bylaws together for the Dev Devereaux fan club anyway."

Koi - 27-11-2020 at 02:16 PM

Light skinned ass shit.

That's what everything between he and Devyn had been reduced to. Him, in his fucking feelings and her...shit. Devyn moving on. Not even a little bit concerned about they way he quietly (and sometimes not so quietly) went through a whole range of emotions before he settled on the reality of it all. And that reality was that he needed to stuff this "light skinned shit" way down deep, get his head together, stop complicating shit for his line...and move the fuck on too.

"Whatever Enzo..." Koi growled, even more annoyed with the throbbing in his legs that that stupid bag of ice wasn't doing shit to alleviate. Because if it wasn't for their exhaustion and HIS, he would have had more than enough of a good reason to punch Enzo in his hamhock of a fucking arm. Especially after his next words...

You wouldn't be so worried about Dev smashing other dudes if you'd stop running in her raw...

Koi's head snapped up as Q's not silent enough "oooooh" made his eyes narrow as he cut them at Enzo in a silent "be careful". Yeah, okay. Koi got it. He was being stupid. Every time he and Devyn had slept together after they reunited in his mother's bathroom (he still regretted nothing), they'd been going at it without protection. He got how irresponsible it was and he knew they couldn't keep depending on Plan B's to keep their stupid asses out of trouble when he got a little too "lost in the sauce". BUT...he just...he couldn't think about Dev like that. It'd never been like that with them. When they were together...it was JUST them. No matter what had or hadn't happened in high school, he'd fall back into the routine of them every time.

But this was different...wasn't it? It wasn't just THEM anymore. It was Devyn and TREE (fuck that nigga's name) now. Another nigga moved in when Koi moved himself out and he couldn't blame anyone BUT himself. Long game or not, the shit was ghetto. Knowing that the same nigga who had the piney fresh smell of a freshly scrubbed floor in Koi's nose was the one that Devyn had chosen? It just... Koi couldn't think about it too long without falling in the same light skinned feelings Enzo had accused him of. The truth was...Enzo was right. Koi couldn't deny it. He didn't know what was going on with Devyn and...him and he heard the rumors about how that nigga ran through females on the regular. That meant exactly what Enzo said it meant. Devyn's looking out for Devyn now. You gotta look out for you.

With a warning glare thrown at Q as he opened his mouth to ask questions about sex that didn't have a DAMN thing to do with him, Koi heard Enzo shift, his plastic bag plopping to the floor as he stretched, claiming he needed to get some sleep before the 8am class Koi TOLD him not to register for.

"Good idea. Your mouth was getting fuckin' reckless." Koi snipped and Enzo sucked his teeth in return as he walked slowly out of the kitchen and into his bedroom, falling into his bed without closing the door.

"I guess I better get you a pillow or something since your ass ain't moving anytime soon..." Koi said to Q, struggling to his feet before pulling Q up after him.

"...and...good looking out tonight." Koi clapped Q gently on the shoulder, directing him to the couch that would be his bed for the night.
